I still shed a tear when ever I make it! Thx Mandy. ❣️

Mandy, beef bourguignon is beef burgundy from 16:06 burgundy France. It’s a Julia child recipe. Ideally you would use burgundy wine. When you say you don’t have to use wine then it would not be beef burgundy. I absolutely love your videos and watch some every day. Thank you so much! My shortcut for "searing" meat for the crock pot is to put it on a very hot outdoor grill before cutting it into cubes. Saves dishes, and adds the grilled flavor. Very quick to just "sear" the meat without cooking it through...Stews, etc.

I have found that pronouncing Bourguignon is kind of like pronouncing Worcestershire. If you try to get it right and someone thinks you're wrong, they'll make fun of you for all time. But if you just say it goofy, we all know what we're talking about and you're already making fun of yourself so they don't bother. Personally when I say what you call 'the dub sauce' I call it "what's this here sauce" but all together like it's one word hahahaha. I love your videos and your family is so fun. Love seeing the three of you together making delicious foods!

Hi Mandy. I love watching your videos and enjoy your precious family. I, too, like to do my cooking early in the day. I'm 65 years young and as a child was babysat by my great grandmother, who was probably in her early 70's. She cooked her big meal in the middle of the day, and it was always delicious! Then at supper she and grandpa would just eat sandwiches or something small. As a teenager, my other grandmother also cooked her large meal in the middle of the day as grandpa was a farmer and hungry by noon, they also enjoyed a light supper. I'm saying all this as (1) the day goes by quickly and you don't want to prepare the big meal when you've already had a busy day and (2) I think eating a big meal in the middle of the day is why our society previously was thinner than we currently are - just my theory. P.S. My great-grandmother fed me fried potatoes and Pepsi for breakfast and that is my favorite all time meal!!!

Okay, I need details on those square biscuits! Homemade or store bought? Beef Bourguignon is one of our favorites. I highly, highly recommend you try Julia Child or Ina Garten's recipe. Ina serves hers over toast, we serve it over mashed potatoes. The cooking method takes longer but since the mushrooms are cooked separately, everything maintains its flavor. And the pearl onions are AMAZING.
