Fun fact that I noticed while rewatching the show, Fluttershy would technically be the oldest based on body type at the time of getting their cutie marks! In the episode where the cmc become adults due to a wish, we discover that there’s an older foal body type where they’re taller than the cmc and have lankier legs, exactly like Fluttershy did when receiving her cutie mark. And while she technically could have just been a lanky foal, I like to think that despite being the most meek of the group she’s actually the oldest. :3

I absolutely adore that you kept the masculine women as masculine women and made the feminine ones into feminine men. Most people I've seen have taken every masc girl in media and headcanoned them as a trans man or made them cis men. Theres nothing wrong with that ofc but when it happens every single time, it gives me the idea that people have a poor understanding of women and don't understand that gnc and masculine women do exist, it feels like consistently taking masculine women and making them men feels kinda misogynistic I guess. I have always headcanoned fluttershy as a trans masc, I love that you made him a guy in your art. I also love how you made rarity a male too, it really fights back those annoying gender stereotypes people always have. 10/10 work

I’ve gotta say, my favorite is Rarity! I love the idea he is a guy who enjoys fashion, and does t view gender as much of a meaning! He is always playing with dresses, and suits, and just having fun! SweetieBelle is his niece who always makes a mess of his boutique but he adores her anyway. Also, the idea of Rarity and AppleJack sitting having tea while AppleBlossom and SweetieBelle have a play date! And FlutterGuy is there for some reason too but whatever

these designs are AWESOME. your ideas are so original and creative and I love the spice you added to all the character concepts!! Having some of the mane 6 be guys is something I've never seen done before and I liked your choices for who got the change. Having Apple Jack be a big strong mom to Apple Bloom is really sweet and fits her, and turning Pinkie Pie into a clown was a super fun move. I think Fluttershy and Twilight are my fav redesigns tho, especially Twilight. Her hair is beautiful. All of the designs are so different from the original but still feel faithful to their core idea, and they all feel like a cohesive unit together while having so much more diversity. Great job!!!!

How about this for backstory: Celestia and Sombra meet while Celestia and luna were visiting the crystal empire. Sombra was a powerful sorcerer working for princess cadence. They fell in love and Sombra moved to canterlot and married Celestia. Then Sombra started dabbling in dark magic and started turning evil as a result. Sombra tried to take over the crystal empire and Celestia and Sombra had a massive fight that resulted with Sombra getting sealed away with the empire and Celestia losing her sight. Then, later, Celestia realized that she was pregnant with twilight. So years later, Sombra is released from wherever he was imprisoned and finds out he has a daughter and a step son because Celestia never told him about the dragon incident.

I really love your redesigns, especially how Rarity has a look that's now a little closer to the unicorn design in The Last Unicorn. I like when people play with the idea of gender flipping characters, as well. I don't know if you are already familiar with this, but there are people who do voice acting vids of the Mane Six if they were male. The 'male' names that are most often used: Twilight Sparkle - Dusk Shine Rarity - Elusive Pinkie Pie - Bubble Berry Rainbow Dash - Rainbow Blaze Applejack is still Applejack Fluttershy - Butterscotch

AJ being Applebloom's mom instead of sister is a change i didn't realize i'd like as much as i do, i imagine Mcintosh is still AJ's brother, coin toss of who's the older sibling now and this now gives a much more generous time window to not heavily wonder when and where Aj's parents vanished to since little baby Bloom is no longer their last child (and i'd pin her as max 10 years old), though granny smith is now gonna seem a lot older then she already does

these are so good! and I do like the Fluttershy redesign as this type of pony (with the bat wings and fangs) are canon as those same pegasi were pulling Lunas chariot in a season 2 episode (Luna Eclipsed I think) I can totally see the town ponies seeing this scary looking bat pony who lives secluded with animals and staying away out of fear, but reality he is the sweetest and kindest pony you will ever meet he is just so incredibly shy and its adorable!

Oh I LOVE your AJ. Usually, people have a lot of trouble redesigning her because her theme is pretty straightforward, but you did it! I love how you made her the oldest and made it show. I know of and have one transmasc friend who deeply related to Fluttershy growing up. People told him he spoke like her and such. So when you changed Fluttershy into a guy, I couldn't help but make those connections. Even if you didn't mean for him to be trans... Male Rarity NOO THE LESBIANS! anyway. I love it, actually! and yeah, he's one of the oldest in my mind too. He looks so cool and so experimental Neat designs!
