Not only does your name "Jamal" mean beauty but your music means beauty too.

That's crazy. People say music invokes emotions, but emotion isn't the right word for this. Listening to your music taps into something fundamental in my brain, like how the smell of cut grass can take you back to that particular summer and you can feel the sun and the warm breeze all from a smell. This music creates the same vividness of experience that mere 'happy' or 'sad' doesn't do it justice. Not by a long shot.

Thanks very much. I relate everything to experience. Not musical experience but life experience and thankfully having lived all over the world as a young one has exposed me to many changes which is why I like to change things up in compositions. Having a good foundation of theory and an open mind is important to me too.

I've seriously had this on repeat for 2 hours. I cannot fully express the beauty of this song, nor can I express the moving feeling it creates inside me. Literally, I shed a tear. 100/10.

I remember getting the tabs for this ages ago despite knowing that playing this piece was way above my abilities (still is) BUT to all those out there who are 'uhm'ing and 'ahh'ing about buying them too, there's a lot to learn from just studying sheet music. I recommend taking the plunge and seeing what you learn, who knows, you could find the keystone of knowledge that ups your composing, playing and/or entertaining game!

This piece is seriously breathtaking.

It all comes down to what you want with the song. Some want just a regular pop tune, some want something more meaningful. I can say that parts of this song have been in my head for over 5 years while others just came to me after that initial catalyst. I inspire from my life experiences and looking back at it, it has really helped me find how I communicate with music. So it can take up to 5 years for some of these compositions to come to life for me to be satisfied.

Just... amazing. I play the same model CC and I know it's not a forgiving neck to play complicated chords, but you handle this guitar beautifully and get the most of it's expressive sound. Really impressive, and more importantly such a joy to listen to. I'm getting the CD, and I'll continue to come back for more (and more) listens...

Yep... that was pretty damn awesome, Didn't think it was possible, with your already amazing ability - but you've gone and set the bar even higher.

I've been inspired by many different artists, many of which I have discovered through CandyRat records. But Maneli has inspired me in a different way. Never have I been so moved by instrumental guitar, and I very highly recommend you buy his album and experience his life through his music. Truly incredible.

It's because language is rigid. Words-names of emotions-can only convey so much. But emotions are a spectrum, and music finds ways of pulling sensations from the parts of the spectrum that don't have names. Kind of like the colors in between the colors of the rainbow.

Maneli, I know I said this before, but this piece of music has seriously reached me on a deep emotional level. It amplifies the happiness, and it heals the pain. There's more to music than just music. Keep up the amazing work, my friend.

Been coming back to this song for quite a while now and it's still one of the most inspiring pieces for me musically. There is so much to sink your teeth into from the beautiful note selection to the use of dynamics... I just can't get enough, so modern yet so bloody classic. I love it; from one musician to another, you inspire me.

Came across you 5 minutes ago on FB for a lesson video promo. I’m only 1 minute through this song and I’m already super impressed. Beautiful feel and composition. It’s been a long time since someone jumped out at me this quick. 20 years actually and that last person was, the incredible Tommy Emmanuel
