It worked really well for my type 3c-4A mixed hair which is also on the thick side. My hair has never been dyed or had heat used on it so thats definitely a difference from them. There are many variables that decide if a product is going to work or not for an individual. Its been 3 months and my hair has shown massive improvement in frizz, split ends, and tangling. I even skipped this month’s trim.

Agreed with you guys. Loved the shampoo and deep conditioner. Didn’t think the conditioner was that bad..Paired the leave in with the gel and did not like it but did get compliments on how defined my curls were. I hope she comes out with a gel to pair with the leave in!

Thank you for this! I've never had a relaxer and have spent my entire life trying to figure out these curls of mine. Alternating between the Fenty Moisture Rich Shampoo and Bounce Curl's Gentle Clarifying Shampoo every third or fourth wash day might be a good approach. And that hair color Mell is currently rocking is PERFECT for her!

This line has been working really well for my 3c-4a thick curls. My hair is thick and weighs down fast so I loved the thinner consistencies. Ive had a huge improvement in tangles, split ends, and frizz. I even got to skip my trim this month. I only use the curl cream in my hair, i cant stand any crunch. This line has become my holy grail.

Happy Texture Thursday! Unrelated to Fenty, but I did recently order the Verb curl gel mousse, curl cream, and deep conditioner and my hairs and I are in love. I wasn’t sure about the gel mousse because I didn’t think it would provide enough hold, but I should have known better than to doubt Mell. My hair has never looked more hydrated and defined! I already know I’ll be repurchasing all 3 products once I run out!

Thank you so much for such a thorough review! Ok. So I totally fan girled the line as I love Riri. I tried the shampoo, strengthening leave in and home curl this first go round In a twist out! It’s only day one, so I will see how it looks on day two but day one results are shiny and defined. I am so in love with the scent! It has me walking around filling like I am in a cloud of luxury. Will try the deep conditioner and the gel next wash day.

I would love to have you do a dedicated unscented review series. I appreciate you always call out scents and if something is sensitive friendly, but that's not the same as a dedicated dive into unscented products. My allergies to scents can mean trying a new product triggers a migraine that can put me out of work for a few days, and there's a lot of people like me out there. I'm fortunate enough to be able to afford doing the trial and error process to find things that work for me, but that's hundreds (even thousands) of wasted dollars that not everyone has. Its also hundreds of hours of research. Appreciate you and everything this channel has done for my hair. 🧡

I'm using pattern right now for styling, it has a mild scent that disappears and doesn't feel like a build up. Your hair does look extra clean. It has that squeaky clean "floof" lol

I've had white hairs on sections of my head since I was five, so maybe not exactly the same thing, but they don't tend to ever follow a curl pattern, even if you put them in rollers or heat curl them to force them that way. They're also a bit odd in tnat they're never the same porosity as the rest of my hair, they're like an obstinate child and decide to be the opposite of whatever the rest of my hair is.

enjoyed this. my only issue is you rated the products pretty harsh (the gel in particular) because It didn't perform the way you wanted it to for styles that it wasn't intended for lol. it's a slick back gel. it's formulated that way. it's like being upset that an edge gel doesn't help you get the curls you want.

Thank you so much for your review! I have sensitive skin, so I don’t think these products will be for me, but I loved your thorough and honest review. An idea for a future video - it would be great to see tips for styling hair when you have multiple curl and/or wave patterns, especially balancing products with different amounts of hold and shine. I have both loose waves and ringlet curls, and sometimes I struggle with deciding which products to use. If I use a higher hold gel to get the front pieces defined, it can make my waves look stringy. But if I use a different product for the back, sometimes I get different amounts of shine because I’m using a product with less hold. Any tips or thoughts are appreciated!

I have the same hair texture and I tried the verb foaming gel based on your recommendation and it’s one of my favorites! ❤ I use my deep conditioner as my regular conditioner because it works best for my hair. Have you tried the ecoslay line? If not, I highly recommend the orange marmalade and banana deep conditioner.

I think chia seeds are a part of the so called bond ingredients that curlsmith uses… which i also don’t believe is as great as it claims for bond repair. I think it’s great, but it’s not gonna do what olaplex or k18 did for me (talking about fenty’s bond repair item). Thank u so much for reviewing!

I have dry bleached but healthy feeling hair lol compared to how it used to be before having the knowledge you gave me. I live in a very very dry and hot climate. The heat gets to 115 sometimes a bit more(texas heat). I cant seem to find a good routine. I do have curls but when i try to style it i cant get it right. I have high porosity and medium thick hair. I do better with my curls when its humid which is like twice a year. But on a regular day 🙃 its sad. I do use a liquid gel and thr not your mothers curl cream and i do clarify a d deep condition. But sometimes it feels heavy. Idk what im doing wrong... sorry for the long post😅❤
