I'm not the only Irish person here 😂 😂 bet I'm the only woman though, been a good few years since I had my birds, I moved to the city and I have 2 sheds in my garden that would be amazing to convert into lofts but unfortunately not allowed, I never raced my birds, I had homers, rollers, fantails, nuns, a few bukhara trumpeters, Chinese owls, homers/racers were my fav though, they just look so beautiful. Though my favourite all time bird was a little almond hen roller hen, I think she was almond, I didn't know her ancestry but from looking at her she looked almond, but she was my shadow, I called her speckles lol

@@scarylilstarassassin5492 ur not the only1 we’re everywhere us IRISH, there’s nothing worse when you’ve had pigeons &like you said all u want is to fill the sheds with pigeons again, it just wrecks ur head thinking off what birds ud love to get, I’m actually trying to get meself back up and going with the birds I just kept racing pigeons&tumblers, so here’s hoping 🤞 I can get them back in the next few months, best of luck, DUBLIN 🇮🇪

@@markryan5716 good luck, hopefully you get a loft and a few birds up and running, cities are a nightmare, I living in Belfast but I'm not from here, in my home town there was lofts everywhere but here I would get reported cuz I'm quite close to the centre, Pitt, good luck anyway 😁🍀

The hawk is still active out there and that might be a big problem to the birds. Good trapping :)
@johannalee73203 жыл бұрын
Healthy pigeons can generally outfly a hawk especially if they see him coming. It's only when they're caught completely off guard that it's an issue. Even falcons have trouble catching them in level flight chases.

It would be great if you didn’t constantly talk over the video. Let’s just hear the birds a bit more. Also given the fact they’ve been locked up for so long, what’s the rush getting them in. Let them get used to the new position and loft set up first.

Hey, those blue ones with the brown bars, they are called dominant opal bar
@scarylilstarassassin54923 жыл бұрын
It's some flavour if opal lol
@scarylilstarassassin54923 жыл бұрын
Actually seeing them up close they actually look like indigo bars or even possibly reduced, I could be wrong, beautiful birds either way. And a nice set of genes to have in your loft if you're looking to breed colours
@AdamArcherPigeons3 жыл бұрын
Its recessive opal

@@AdamArcherPigeons dammit, so close, 😅😅 most pigeon colours I'm the great with apart from when it comes to opals, whether they are dominant or not, indigo, or reduced, Gorgeous birds though.

@@AdamArcherPigeons hey, your the other pigeon channel I watch, you have that gorgeous big brown bar cock? You have some gorgeous birds man!! Brown bar is my favourite colour and that cock bird is a nice looking fellow, I've had browns in other breeds but never a brown homer/racer, I used to have a pair of Foster fantails who where brown, a few Chinese owls and bukhara trumpeters. Its stunning on homers though
