Doc does not live any longer than Mario (in NTSC Melee). This is a rumor that does not die. Doc and Mario share every stat that effects combos/juggles and survivability: Weight: 100 Gravity: 0.095 Fall speed: 1.7 Fast Fall: 2.3. The only attribute differences that they have is that Doc has slightly higher air speed but no wall jump, and that his torso is the tiniest bit bigger but not enough to matter 99.9% of the time. In later games yes they have different attribute stats, but not in this game.

Yeah exactly. Their differences are in their moves. It even says on Dr. Mario's trophy that Doc is "a tad slower due to his lack of exercise" even when Doc and Mario have the same dash lol.
