As always, great work and thanks for keeping us up to date with all the new releases! But, as a side note, i think you were incorrect about Afro samurai being based on an anime, as it was originally a doujinshi, which later spawned various adaptations, including anime and movies.

I really wish there was a version of this looking at preorders. Main reason I don’t buy a lot of manga is I budget around my DCBS order, and so I never know about great upcoming manga until it’s already about to be released.

I kind of feel the same way about Shangri-La Frontier as you described. It wasn't a bad read, but it also didn't grab me the way other series have. Not sure what to think about this one.

Solo leveling volume 5 comes out September 20th so that one is definitely my most hyped. Is norgami any good? It’s considered action but I never hear about fights and power systems or anything

I didn't know what dinosaur sanctuary was until I watched this! Gotta pick that up along with Silent Voice! Although I'm still working on getting all the hardcover FMA volumes and the avatar TLA library editions too

Read Shangri-La Frontier twice in the past but never managed to make it past the first chapter, initially gave me the idea that the main character was going to be an absolute snob but enjoyed it pretty quickly and loved how strategy was a genuine thing in this piled with the good art. I think one of the things that I wouldn't think of the mc as a generic one has to do with his design. Headwear and mostly naked reminds me of those hardcore players like in the souls games, I think it uses the genre of games solidly. Only issue is that I can only find 3 of these volumes to buy and they're pretty expensive

I can’t speak for the manga, but the Ms. kobayashi Dragon Maid anime is amazing. If fans think they’re comparable, I’d recommend.

Shangri-la Frontier is an amazing series BUT you have to really be into video games and that “gamer” mentality to fully enjoy it. Even for a VR manga series it pushes the “gamer-ness” of it harder than others of that sub-genre. And it doesn’t help that the series doesn’t really start getting good until the third volume but that’s it when it gets REALLY good. It is one my favorite manga series of all-time and have been collecting the English digital releases which is up to vol 7 this month but now its getting physical releases which is 10 times better. I actually started collecting Noragami last summer which I’m now regretting with these Omnibus editions coming out.

I need this in my life! I've picked up reading manga but there's so much out there. I love stuff like One Punch Man, Mashle and Rooster Fighter. My taste seems to be: overpowered protagonist with some comedy sprinkled in. I love reading NEW stuff, so these kind of videos are great! Many thumbs up!
