Here's a summary of the story. Mc was another simp who still liked his ex even after she broke with him for something he didn't do, fmc had a hard past due to her father cheating on the mom and assumed all men were cheaters and mc suffered for it. She never changed since highschool and made the same mistake again, and she never apologized for never listening to mc and assuming he was cheating. Due to the ex's behavior I feel the MC made the wrong decision. His ex g/f assumed that he was cheating on her in the past and present instead of verifying the situation. This poses future problems too. Not saying he should have gotten with his supervisor either. One thing I’ve realized is that the only way the MC doesn’t get back together with his ex is is she’s a golddigger. This story reminded me of one that the same situation happened. What some people failed to mention is how they reunite again. She told him that he was a wimp even back there (i.e. not very straight with approaching women or escalating the relationship). So she knew even back then that there was a small chance of him cheating and even despite knowing that he is spineless she assumed he was cheating and didn't even clarify that. 2nd time Absolutely the same but even more wild. What person would give his ex spending money and let her live in your place after a fiasco of a break up like that? Not to mention, she was in the town for 6 months she was living in her friends house apparently she didn't have any money on her, because MC had to give her some money. What I'm trying to tell, she is a walking RED FLAG. During those 6 months she didn't get employed, didn't find another place to live and I'm pretty sure her friend (like any normal human being) gave her at least a week to find a new place and since she didn't have any money she probably didn't pay for rent. To summarize: She came back to her friends apartment most likely with a deal to move out when she finds a new place and work, during those 6 months she didn't find anything and the friend told her an ultimatum 1 week and piss off. She told him that her friend is horrible(a bit coquettishly). She remembers how they broke up, he let her stay and by what MC told in his inner thoughts he assumed that she would stay only for a day but she didn't even plan to move out, she was nothing to him and he gave her spending money, so we might assume she didn't pay for rent also. She didn't try to clarify anything with him in both cases. 2nd time around they weren't even official so he didn't have a reason to lie to her and she didn't have any right to get pissed off or even think that he is lying. She didn't apologize and lastly she put this phrase "can I trust you?" after basically knowing that in both cases she fucked up and he never betrayed her trust UNLIKE HER so It should have been his phrase "Can i trust you after you have done the same thing 2nd time around? But now we even didn't date, I simply helped you since you were desperate!" . What's worse author even made a 2nd girl who was likeable and at the start MC was actually planning to hit it of with her before this crashcourse of what men should avoid in girls, girl came.

The MC is stuck in the past. I'm not saying that the FMC is a bad person, but she clearly had problems that didn't resolved. He ''cheating'' with another is going to resurface, because a beautifull action isn't enough to make a problem right. She needs therapy. The history would improve if the MC say in the fight that broke of the relationship in highschool, not years later, that the ''cheating woman'' is her cousin. Then is credible that the FMC didn't belive the MC, because of her problems in home, and he, furious, didn't do the effort to show that was true. Then, years laters, she uncovers the truth and make a deep reflection, ask for help. When she is alright returns to the MC to say sorry. Sprinkle a little of ''she was my childhood friend, first crush and first girlfriend'' and then is good that the MC and FMC be a couple again.
