I love how blunt the two are with eachother, but in that bluntness, I love how the MC wants to handle it with a bit of maturity. Seeing him want to wait until a special occasion to confess was quite wholesome, it wasn't necessary, but the way he assessed the situation (her not actually confessing her love, but just a promise of marriage) was pretty sweet. I just love how quickly the FMC put the pieces together despite the lack of evidence, it lead to a hilarious sequence. Great story, and cute couple

I think I've told this little story before, but I know a young couple who are much like Azusa and Yamato. Their parents, all of whom I have known since high school, have all been friends since they were young, and as they grew up they naturally became couples and eventually each couple had one child each, a boy and a girl, three weeks apart (the boy is older). They live right next door to each other, so the two children were raised like they have four parents; they even had rooms in each others' houses and pretty much spent all their time together. Everyone always talks about them in the same breath, never one without the other. Their love for each other understandably grew into a beautiful, heartwarming romance as they got older. They married each other in a small, simple wedding when they graduated from high school last year and are attending the same college now. The fact that I have known them since they were infants and now they are married makes me feel quite old, but it always warms my heart to be around them. If you are trying to get a picture of them in your mind: the boy is very dark-skinned and looks quite a bit like Sidney Poitier when he was a young man; the girl is half-Japanese and half-Scandinavian (Swedish, I think?) with auburn hair and green eyes and is every bit as pretty as you are probably imagining. They are both incredibly intelligent and they plan to study Environmental Science and Conservation; their goal is to work for a company that focuses on cleaning up waterways and drinking water supplies.

And Mikoto did end up becoming their cupid thanks to the misunderstanding that led to Yamato and Azusa getting together. So it's great that Yamato and Azusa are a couple and that Mikoto is now friends with Azusa. I'm sure Yamato's and Azusa's parents are happy their children are now a couple.
