fun facts: The guy really misunderstood. His ex didn't cheat on him. The boy he saw with her was her brother who had come to see her because she was sick. It would also have been stupid of her to ask her boyfriend to bring her something and then at the same time invite her lover home, wouldn't it?🙄 If we see the protagonist never seems to have let his ex explain what had happened. He immediately assumed she was cheating on him and lost faith in her (or at least that's what it seems to have happened seeing the story). The funny thing is that if the above hypotheses were true, only one thing would change: the loyalty of the ex. Besides, there's nothing wrong with breaking up and finding other people. Engagement also serves this purpose, to deepen relationships. And since the boy quickly got over the situation, forgetting the ex, their story was probably destined to end anyway.

Yeah, it's unusual that we never got to see her cheat and how they broke up. We only got to know everything from his side. As you say it could easily have been a mistake. The ex did not give the usual signs, she never was haughty, never showed off the new boyfriend and apologized several times... but she never explained the mistake either. But he may never give her the chance either, instead interrupting her before she can. Nah, it was a very unclear story. and I don't know what to think about it. And yes, it seemed like the love wasn't quite there... at least from his side.

You can say the only fault here was that she didn’t immediately try to find him and explain the situation. Someone who is not guilty should try to clear it asap. But yeah the mc jumping the gun and not even waiting for any kind of explanation either means he already didn’t trust her, or he simply was looking for the smallest excuse to break up with her. I tend to see stuff like this happen a lot IRL

Yeah, this definitely needs a part 2 so we can see things from Aoi's pov. She's not like the normal girl who cheats on her boyfriend, she actually is regretful and wants to get back with Ayumu, even though he wants nothing to do with her. And now she's going after Asuka, what kind of weird love triangle have they all found themselves in? On the subject of Ayumu and Asuka, Asuka only went after Ayumu when she heard what happened and wanted to him up. And we certainly know what they did that nighy after she flirted with him while only wearing his shirt and kissing him. They really are a perfect couple who genuinely love one another, which makes Aoi going after Asuka all the more confusing.
