This was amazing! Finally it's the FMC who goes through the rubber misunderstanding. It's a nice change of pace from the usual story where it's the MC who is the one to suffer from the misunderstanding and not the FMC. I'm glad the misunderstanding was cleared up and both of them could confess their feelings and become a happy loving loving married couple at the end. And we all know that their lucky charm that was the box of condoms was used that night after they had dinner together.

True. I think it could be a Japanese colloquialism that is more commonly used to call rubber bands and be used for condoms, but has no direct translation. Which is why the closest translators might come up with is “rubbers”. Just a guess. Someone who is more familiar with Japanese could correct me

In Japan, the word is actually "gumi" and it's used in relation to a lot of things, like hair ties, rubber bands, and yes condoms. This thing happened in real life to one of my teachers from Australia, because she came to America asking for erasers, but in Australia they call erasers rubbers, so the poor girl behind the counter was utterly confused when she said she needed a whole bunch of them for her students 😂

This was a sweet manga but it made me realize that, in Reality trying to start a relationship with someone at work rarely works. A majority of the time leads to the dude getting rejected pretty bad, and an awkward vibe between him and the girl at work. At worst, the guy can also get slapped with some HR complaints too. This is my bias opinion, but in today's day in age, most men who have a crush on a woman in the same field/company, do not measure up to that woman's standards. it's a cruel world but at least we can vicariously live out our dreams through these nice rom-com mangas.
