Perspectives can change so much - and it is so hard to find a perspective that isn't your own when emotions are involved! From Ami's perspective, the "find you and marry you" part of the promise is the important part - her perspective is that of a woman who has been engaged for 20 years, and finally the promised marriage is within her grasp. From Noboru's perspective, however, the "I'll definitely become an amazing man ... and come and find you again ..." is the key part: his perspective is that the prerequisite hasn't been met - he can't jump straight to the "marry you" because he hasn't gotten to the "come and find you", because he hasn't become an "amazing man" yet! He *doesn't* see the marriage as within his grasp, but still as being far in the future! Ami's rush short-circuits his perspective, and his reluctance short-circuits Ami's! In the long run, Noboru probably has the better perspective, since working the conflict in their views will require communication - and after 20 years, they don't have a smooth set of communication habits: as they build those, Noboru's self-image-based reluctance can be worked with, and Ami's hurry can be turned into an emotional foreplay leading to a most satisfying moment of his official proposal! 3-4 minutes later in the video ... Let’s just say Ami was so persistent in doubling Noboru’s salary and eventually Noboru who was still having doubts gave in and a few weeks later he finally asked her out after work and even moved in with her, soon after that they got married at the age of 28 and he became the Co CEO of the company. 2 years later they had their first child and in another 2 years they had their second child and eventually told their kids when they met and how they started dating. Almost forgot to mention when Ami and Noboru announced to everyone else they were all very supportive and give them their blessings since they knew they loved each other for a long time

haven't seen this art style in 2 months. i enjoy the art style and the character design but the story should've been better in terms of how ami should've handled the interview from the start. i get wanting to keep your promise (but not all the time that promises are always assured) and all but the better way to put it is ami finds and meet up with noboru AFTER the interview was done. honestly speaking, she didn't go about it the right way to the point of NEARLY AVOIDING HIM. this episode felt a bit like that my boss is my ex from 8 days ago but at least ami did apologize for the way she behaved but i'd wish she didn't say it was his fault just like that and figure it out yourself like he's some mind reader. but yui told her to be upfront about her feelings and shit. and also, it was cool and nice of yui to get to the bottom of the two,thinking he was the ex or the jerk but childhood friends who ami thought noboru forgot about. it's also nice he kept his word but can you blame him for thinking it wasn't meant to be once he found out his childhood friend just moved without realizing it? i would be too if my wasted efforts came to light and i naturally gave up and moved on. i didn't get how yui got ami mad in the interview though? ami looks stunning in this segment and yui too but i like ami more though. not that i don't like yui as she was nice from the moment she was his senior. and also very understanding. at least,he kept his promise once again but funny how she wanted to double his salary just to date and marry him. even more funny when she handed both the resume and the marriage certificate on the fly during the interview 😂😂😂😂😂 i guess the story gets a barely passing grade,liked the art style and character design,the cute expressions (mainly on ami and yui,backgrounds,effects, environment and the thumbnail as the panels speaks for iteself. along with the title name and the clean drawings there. although it didn't blend in to the episode but what can you do?

The protagonist doesn't think well. First of all, the promise made said that he would return to her when he became an "amazing man" but without really clarifying what exactly he means. Considering he says he came back looking for her after he graduated from university, he already thought he became one just by graduating. Why now does he want to wait until he has a career even just to start dating her? Just because the girl is the CEO of a company and he had problems with his old job he feels inadequate? Nothing matters what the girl tells him about it... he is convinced that he has to be more even just to go out with her. When they clarify the situation and he makes the new promise he says "but once I become a more respectable man, please go out with me with the intention of marriage". Here too he sets an unclear goal that only he can say when it has been achieved. Among other things, he plans to go from "childhood friends" to "with the intention of marriage". It's not clear why they can't take steps between the two things... also to understand if after 20 years the feeling the two feel is real and not the mirage of a past memory. At this point I start to fear that the protagonist is a narcissist who only cares about himself and sees the girl more as a "trophy" than as the person to spend his life with. It is clear that the girl is suffering from the situation, that she is forced to wait for him to achieve his goals.

It’s great that Noboru and Ami reunited but I am a bit skeptical about how he got the job. Ami basically gave him an ultimatum between the job offer and the marriage registration. Even though they reunited, her suddenly showing him a marriage registration was really confusing. I guess she was really desperate to get married and have children. I like the fact that Noboru remembered the promise cause most times the Mc for some unknown reasons forgets the promise he made to his childhood friend and I like how her reaction was when she realized Noboru had been thinking about her all the time. But the lesson here is to never make promises that you can’t keep otherwise things can get messy because the FMc’s have a good memory so if you think they don’t remember then it’s your loss
