I really loved this video Ryan. I have my Mars in the 5th conjunct Ketu in Pisces (Scorpio Asc). I sometimes feel this is the worst conjunct ever (I must have been a horrible person in my past life lol), considering I had 7 miscarriages before the birth of my daughter. But then I think, had Mars not been there, I might not have been blessed with a child -- my drive and determination was so strong. I was relentless and NEVER gave up! All the while, my physical and emotional well-being has always been stable. My Mars RULES! ;)

Having both Mars and rahu influencing the 5th house (unless it's Mars own house) gives extremely difficulties in having children. I can't remember the name of the yoga but to have kids one will almost always will have to use medical support.

I don't know if it acts like exalted or not, but I watched another video of Ryan, and he said retrogradation of a planet increases its strength. So that's probably why you're actually good at pastry chef. Also remember to consider other factors and lajjitadiaa avastha for the whole picture.

Mars is a chef as well and the sign of Cancer shows home and kitchen. Debilitated mars makes a 10 times better chef than an exalted Mars. Mars in Cancer makes an excellent chef. Exalted Mars is more about the law and government. Makes an excellent soldier, policeman, official.

Sir very good explained. 1. There is one principal that, If Mars in an Urdhvamukha sign or in his sign of exaltation be posited in the 10th or 11th house, the native will acquire a kingdom in his dasa. He will become a king and cause destruction of his enemies and will possess many vehicles and a huge army. 2.There is another principal that, the dasha of Mars and Rahu if they are 5th brings Misery and Trouble to the Native. Now question arises that if in a Chart both the above positions/conditions are present then what to predict Sr.1 or Sr.2 above? Thanks & Regards

I think we need some revision on what planets in bad dignity mean... debilitated planets can give better results than exalted planets can give because more hard work is required of you to master that energy.

Theresa Myers Start with the free 15 hour course on this channel. Take good notes. Dont' expect to learn it all, review often. Then start reading the first book. Cross reference the book to the notes to the videos. Then take the first course available on my site, Astrology 101. Then get the second book. Study it daily, and then start going down the list of the other courses on my site. Then cross reference those courses, with your notes, with both books. Then start considering charts.

My mars is in the 11th in libra and conjunct within two degrees of ketu.. venus its dispositor in the 9th.. sun in the 8th with exalted Jupiter. This surely hints of some level of weakness because of conjunction of ketu and the despositors despositor in the 8th. Mars id exalted in the 2nd in the navamsa, ketu in the first with jupiter and saturn though.. i guess one takes all these things together while determining its strength?

It depends on what aspect of your life you are looking at from these planets specifically to determine the strength, but yes, you have to way all the indications related to the area of life in question and see how it averages out.

For the indications of Mars, check dignity of Mars. Check Shadbala. Check the house Mars rules over. Consider Mars in the d3 and d9 specifically. Look at Ishta and Kashta to Mars and the Lajjitaadi Avashtas effecting mars. Consider the rashi aspects to the sign Mars is in. All these will have an influence.

Really what it comes down to is... what exactly do you want to know about Mars? Mars is indicative of so many things, as are all the planets. This is why a good foundation in techniques and principles is so important. They allow you to determine what part of the planet do you want to analyze. Take your time, and you'll get it.

Yes it does. That is a very important part of compatibility. I often look to see how planets overlay between two charts.

Mars. When mars is starved by Saturn, this can be compromised and the mantra you mentioned is very good. Remember to look at the whole chart, not just one planet.

The word myth or mythology defines as something being a fairy tale , fake , a figment of the imagination . The British started using the word myth when describing the Mahabharat or the ramayan or the bhagwatam , purans. I wouldn’t consider or call Hindu astrology a myth(fake) . Hey Ryan great videos. Correct me if I am wrong, but I always thought, Mars deals with whipping up a meal without cutting fingers, and burning the kitchen down. Before I go to someone’s house I always check their Venus and Mercury because Venus blends, and Mercury blends and tastes, together you get the perfect combination.

Mercury rules the sense of smell, and so that can help to pick out best spice combinations. Venus seems to work better with baking or confectionary things. Mars knows how to use the fire and the utensils. You need a combination of certain planets to be good at certain things. When it comes to desserts I look for someone with a good Venus. Mercury helps a person do everything better.
