Simple Domains neutralize the Sure Hit Effect by interfering the barrier, not by disrupting the technique directly. They can weaken normal cursed techniques though, as seen when a certain character weakened another character's attack in Chap. 246 if I'm remembering the chapter number correctly

Could be both, but since we know Toji's HR body is what got him back into Shibuya, I wouldn't be surprised if it was indeed the body. Then again, Mechamaru and Toji's HR's are wildly different and boost opposite things, so it 100% is a gray area.

i think has to depend on the person like with Kenjaku's and Mahito's abilities, and think it can either be on the body or soul but like let's say the HR was on Muta's body and Mahito changed the soul then it wouldn't get rid of the HR

Mechamaru would have for sure been classified as special grade his only weakness is that he can’t move and with that gone there is nothing holding him back from it unless he did lose his heavenly restriction which we won’t know until more lore probably near the end of the series

I'm on the "no disability no heavenly restriction" team, and I'll lay out my reasoning. Manga spoilers. Maki's heavenly restriction responds to how much cursed energy she has at any given point in time. Since birth, she had her heavenly restriction. It already removed all of her cursed energy. The cursed energy she did have was that which Mai produced, of which she got half. Though Mai presumably learned to control her cursed energy output over the years so that she'd leak less than half to Maki. That is why Mai's cursed energy was so weak: part of her output was leaking to Maki. This leads us to a conclusion about heavenly restrictions: they consist of two parts. The first part is the condition. Activated at birth, it does something bad: For Maki, it is the loss of her ability to produce cursed energy. For Kokichi, it is his crippling bodily condition. The second part is the power. Depending on a condition, you get a supernatural ability: for Maki, on the condition that she had none of her own cursed energy inside her, she'd get all those physical powers. And for Kokichi, presumably, the condition to his insane cursed energy reserves and control range would be for his body to be the crippled wreck we see bandaged in a bathtub. The evidence for this is that Maki's restriction was affecting her since birth, but only granted her a fraction of the stats Toji got. The cursed energy Mai was leaking to her (which is considered to be her own because twins share a soul and stuff) was keeping her heavenly restriction's condition from being fully satisfied, leading her to only get the demo version of its powers, so to speak. This indicates that once Mechamaru made Mahito change his body, the condition for his heavenly restriction would no longer be satisfied, and he'd have to rely on the energy he had stored and cursed techniqued he had imbued into objects to fight, because his own cursed energy was now just that of a normal sorcerer.

It's clear thst Mechamaru's new body can move and has intact skin, so the effects of his heavenly restriction have been renoved. That should lead to his HR's power at least being diminished

One thing to add to this theory Mahito left a scar on Mechamaru's face, when there was no reason to do that, he should've just cleared away all of it to give him completely fresh skin. I think that this may have been a way to circumvent the HR downsides, because he didn't fully cure his condition, so the HR should still be active because the downside is not negated

I disagree on mechimaru’s strategic abilities. His 2 fights: 1: gets overly cocky and aggressive vs panda. Just tries to 1 shot him repeatedly to prove a point. 2. Despite knowing mahito is elusive from watching footage of his fight with Yuji, he chooses to fight in a slow, lumbering bot that fails to land a hit. He also elects to take on mahito and Geto alone with no quick way to contact gojo…. He’s dumb

Bro the robot literally has simple domain containers that hurt Mahito by interacting with his CT, no other robots of his can do that, so obviously he would use the giant mech. One of the attacks from it is literally a homing CE output attack as well, so that negates Mahito's elusiveness. Kenjaku set up barriers to prevent contacting Gojo, so he literally couldn't.

Yall gotta quit saying mahito is invincible. You can definitely kill him without soul hitting attacks. He needs cursed energy to use his technique like everyone else and he doesn't have an unlimited supply of cursed energy. So basically when using the ability on himself its just a more efficient RCT but if he has no cursed energy then he cant change the shape of his soul. Its even stated against todo when he questions if he could even finish him with a single touch and how nanami subconsciously defended himself against it during their first fight. What makes his skill so powerful is its versatility and the fact that people dont know how to defend against it. We've seen a grade 1 sorcerer block idle transfiguration with just cursed energy so it is possible. My main point is that its a war of attrition with mahito in that you have to 1 shot him or outlast his cursed energy to be able to beat him.

The community needs to understand that "special grade" does not mean "strong" or "top 5 in the verse". It just means you fit a certain criteria. That's why Yaga was going to be labeled a special grade,despite being much weaker than all the other special grades. Hell,technically speaking,even Sukuna might not fit the criteria for special grade.

But,that would probably apply to a lot of non-special grade sorcerers. Naobito could theoretically take down the country if he had enough time to do it. Probably the same for Kusakabe,Mei Mei,a bunch of other grade 1s. But they are still only grade 1. That's why I don't think that Sukuna would fit the criteria.
