I’m so glad to see that you didn’t originally put water in the brown sugar mix and you toasted the brown sugar by itself instead! Many people do that and it waters down the whole thing!

tapioca pearls take 30 min to cook and 30 min to rest. Its not as quick as just waiting for them to rise.
@lilth984 жыл бұрын
Really just depends on the brand. Looking at the packaging she used it looks like it's 5 minute boba. There's also instant boba that's sold in store. But as a person who works at a boba shop I definitely prefer the boba that takes longer to cook. The texture is better in my opinion.
@CookWithApril4 жыл бұрын
I followed the directions in the back and it cooked sooo fast. :D

@@lilth98 i'm really picky with texture too but I promise you this one is pretty amaaazing!

wayyyy too much sugar and too many pearls in that one cup. also never seen authentic boba places stir in brown sugar like that..... definitely not the way to make it. it's made with liquid white sugar traditionally....... complete fail of a recipe.
@Oongaboongabigfatdoggy2 жыл бұрын
… really? I went to Taiwan and most of the street vendors were making it with brown sugar Don’t know if it gets much more authentic than that
@Oongaboongabigfatdoggy2 жыл бұрын
Also the pearls is just for the look- most boba places put too many just for the look … You’re critiquing for no reason
