To be honest, this is a bit of a tricky one, but as always well executed. Thank you very much for doing this for us. 👋👋👋

Yes bit more of a advanced one this one but would recommend playing with lattice2, it can be confusing worth the multiple selection process but it had really helped me tackle some tricky design tasks. There are some weird and wonderful tools within. Thank you for the kind comments 😊

I was trying to do something like this without the Lattice workbench and accidentally typed a 3-digit number in a regular Part type PolarArray…it froze for over an hour before I gave up and kill -9’d it. I definitely need to use this technique - thank you!

Beautiful. Thank you. I will need to digest that for a bit.

Glad you enjoyed 😊 There is quite a bit to take on board with this one and the lattice 2 workbench can be complex because of the multiple selections in certain orders but it's a very powerful workbench.

Instead of copy&pasting degree symbol, you can just type '20 deg'.

Thank you. Great explantation. But to make the simple first sketch take a long time for me 🙂

Is the seam "hidable"? Or, will it be part of the print? Thank you for this detailed explanation.
@MangoJellySolutions Жыл бұрын
The seem will be hidden when printed so all should be good. Also the same applies when exporting to stl. Glad you enjoyed the video.😊😊

If you were trying to create a more accurate and precise model, then would you recommend photogrammetry software?
@MangoJellySolutions Жыл бұрын
I have only tried that once but never was able to get anything usable, but that was years ago. There is now something available for free called open scan that looks promising and I keep meaning to gib it a go. I will share with you the link. en.openscan.eu/

@@RobertHarrold that was the software I tried but I couldn't get it to work. I don't know if it was lighting or quality of the camera but I just couldn't get a decent model out of it. But that was some time ago.

This is what I was looking for but seems a little complex. Is there an easier was to achieve this in FreeCad or other 3D Software ?

Lattice2 WB is powerful. The request is from a German patreon?

I'm enjoying learning about FreeCAD and find it quite good to use but this video has put me off. It's a convoluted way to get a result that in other CAD software takes a few seconds to achieve and doesn't seem to tax my system at all.
