I've been waiting for this spotlight and I love the analysis you did on her personality, especially her support with Ephraim :) Her support with Innes (as much as I kinda ship them together, I honestly don't know why) is iconic, I swear I sometimes use the "If I were not a holy woman I would beat you sensless" line irl and even without reference it still cracks people up. The shoulder coverings are one of my favourite parts of her design in FEH. It's not just a covering, it's a pauldron, and as a pauldron it emphasizes the idea of her being a crusader, making her look more like a knight and more assertive (brave) in general

Yes this. It's really hard to tell because they made the color of the pads a dull white, which, pretty much looks like their skin-tone color for her as well. With the greater color pallet in FEH, they've distinguished between her skin tone and pauldrons better and made them larger to avoid confusion.

10:02 , look at the left shoulder in that picture. There IS a pauldron underneath her cape that's barely poking out. One can assume she's wearing a pauldron on the other side as well with her raised arm, but the angle of the arm prevents seeing it. And assuming even if the pauldrons weren't there, the cape alone would've been enough to cover her shoulders going by this in game picture. Perhaps the only reason her shoulders are bare in the support convos is because she's not actively in battle? I could be wrong considering some support conversations suggest that's exactly where characters are talking, like Gerik and Tethys.
