However if it hadn’t started there or an outbreak hadn’t started there and if they had enough time all they would have had to do is blow the bridges and tunnels and watch the waters for walkers and start becoming self sufficient with probably solar power and urban farming. They can easily isolate the island of Manhattan. But when it comes to the Wildfire virus it’s pretty much death of any kind is not going to be good for anyone.

New York is definitely a place to avoid in the zombie apocalypse. New York has been estimated to immediately be ravaged, due to it's natural huge population.

The science nerd in me hates this so much because though inventive the gas would be lost at insane rates and pretty much worthless, sure fuel density use has gone way up but it takes some pretty special tools. Hydro power is simple in theory but its pretty worthless if you dont have a turbine and some way to control water flow, sure this guy is using walker decay to effectively make candles

@@timgersh6787Or just a general steam turbine that requires a heat source, with that you just need a fuel source and water of course. There isn't any reason the remaining clean energy sources won't continue to remain functional for up to years after the outbreak, but they'll all need maintenance eventually, someone to clean the solar panels and someone to lubricate the machine parts of the hydroelectric and wind generators. I would go live at a damn community, that's basically unlimited water and power, plus it needs people to maintain it. With that you can have food production all year round as you could have more than enough energy for hydroponic warehouses full of vegetables. They would be at an advantages position in defense as well, high ground on each side, with a nearly impenetrable fortress between them. They could grow more than enough food to use most of it as a catalyst for ethanol production as well. I would imagine that even though they aren't necessarily engineers that they would learn how to maintain their generators over time, plus they probably wouldn't need more than one at a time to meet their power needs. Each one is enough to power hundreds of homes and businesses if not a few thousand and most usually have a dozen or more. I'm quite sure in the decades it would take to use them all they would have figured out how to fix the others by then.

This spin off is kinda mid. I do enjoy Negan being "Him" again even for a short while. I'll give them credit of it piecing things together (Which I don't, I just realized this now) on why they need Negan. If you still don't know, the answer is Gas. With them having a hold of it and will inevitably face a full offensive of other communities. Like what Rick did, they will counter it and make a "Show" out of it to keep them in line. Guess who's the main actor of that show.

In addition to my previous comment, one of the things that made me die laughing is the survivor saying that there were almost no bullets and guns so they had to improvise their weapons. This totally feels like an outsider seeing oh New York and New York City is a blue liberal state. So since they have so many anti-gun laws, guns would be scarce of there. Everyone forgets that not only are the NYPD psychotic and would probably be one of the gangs running of the city kind of like the Atlantic PD, but on a larger operation at least for a while, but that thanks to 9/11. Basically New York City is its own mini military base with all the major multilater agencies there because you have the United Nations and other points of interest. Literally if there was a zombie apocalypse, Not only would the police and national Guard be huge and defending the island but the survivors would definitely either be under the protection of the corrupt police or would be raiding the police. Then they would be more guns, ammo, and weapons that they would not know to deal with. Fact, in addition to the methane zombies which I really like that could have been legitimately another reason for other colonies back on the mainland to raid New York City because it would be hilariously over the top filled with guns and ammo that are going unused.

☆☆☆☆☆@Ty swell☆☆☆☆☆ I want to say thank you. Thank you for making such great walking dead story arc videos. Ive watched everyone of them over the last couple days and they are magnificent! As someone who has been watching faithfuly since episode#1 all those years ago, and has watched the series and spin-offs in their entirety at least 4 times throughout the years, I absolutely loved these vids! This has been an entertaining trip down memory lane for sure. To re-live some of my favorite story arcs in the way you've put them together has been an entertaining viewing experience! I know its hard work but please man, keep making these for all significant story arcs in TWD universe. Id love to see you weave some arcs together between shows and tell the larger overarching story between them while filling in time jumps. I do not usually leave comments complementing the channel creator of vids like this, but in this case I absolutely had to give you your flowers. 👏 👏 WELL DONE! Youve done something really great here! I've liked your vids and subscribed to your channel. I will recomend your channel and vids. I'll also share them in the appropriate places to try and drive some views and subs your way. So sadly, as someone who lives in the Northeast section of New Jersey and has been commuting back and forth nearly every other day to New York City since he was 6 years old, the in worse thing I found about the show was how little New York City was underutilized. It really feels like a bunch of people that lived in California and elsewhere idea of what quote" New York City is rather than what probably could have been. Maybe they hinted of it, but one of the big mistakes is everyone always as soon as that New York City is just Manhattan. In fact, it's multiple Islands strung together. I would have loved to seen different, essentially fiffoms films on the different islands. Especially since you have fairies and half the train system is above ground once you get out of most of Manhattan and parts of Brooklyn. In addition, again, even Manhattan was so underutilized. I wish it was as creative as Daryl Dixon with France. Like what if there's a survivor colony in Central Park who re-fortifies Belvedere's Castle which is an actual castle from the 17th century in the middle of the park? There's just so much stuff they could have done where New Yorkers would have been like holy shit. This is crazy to see but instead it was like yep subways and the Statue of Liberty and oh giant buildings and that's about it. They didn't leverage it like they leveraged like the forest environments of Atlanta or the various histories and cultures of France. I hope season 2 they do better

I'm just facing current New York BS laws and relating it into the world of The walking Dead cuz that's what you would have to base it off of is what we know and we know how shity New York is.
