I have been a Manics fan since before Generation Terrorists came out & Lifeblood is my favorite album of theirs. With the exception of two songs, I think it's a masterpiece. 1985 is my favorite song of theirs & it always gets me choked up. I've never cared about a technically sloppy performance if the spirit & passion is there, & it's there in this performance. I think Q magazine called Lifeblood "miserable & insipid." It all boils down to personal taste, but I think that's overboard.

I found this video, and I’m getting stuck in this performance… I really don’t understand why Manics don’t like this album… songs like that, or “I live to fall asleep”, even “A song for a departure” are ethereal… makes me dither

@foucault12 erasure , the circus , hallowed ground , phantom bride , crown of thornes , it dosnt have to be like that ,star . all excelent songs for the people . i love the manics and erasure or any other songs that represent the masses .
