Hey man great review! Very much looking forward to the new album! For a band that can still produce raw yet polished songs I just hope the album is consistent and becomes one that is worthy of high rotation. Let's wait and see!

Thanks so much, and I’m delighted you enjoyed the review. It’s a lot of fun to do. I love talking about music. I can’t wait to hear the album. Very excited about it. Not always been a huge fan, but I do like to dip into the catalogue, and it’s always fascinating. :-)

I think it’s a great track. I love the direction they’re going in with this. They’re not repeating the same old formula and trying something completely new. What a great idea :-)

Wire has sung on some album tracks but I think this is the first MSP single he’s been lead vocalist on. Although he’s released some solo albums and singles too.

Followed the band since the mid nineties. This is a really great tune which I enjoy alot but I have found some great tunes in all their albums. Their more recent material has been more introspective but still really nice tunes. By the way this is their 2nd single from the new album. The first single “Decline & Fall” Is a really top tune also. I have to admit I prefer this song though which is unexpected as I was not a great fan of Nick Wire singing before although I did really like his recent solo single “Contact Sheets”

It is fantastic, thanks a lot. I’ll check out the first single. I think the album could be enjoyable, and I agree with what you say about Nikki singing. I wasn’t sure at first, but now I think it was a perfect addition to the song. Thanks for watching, and thanks for the comment. I really appreciate it :-)

Love the Manics, my fav band ever, but disappointed by the new singles. Feels like cast off material from the less interesting recent albums. Hope the rest of the album is more experimental

As I said in the video, I’ve not got much of their back catalogue to refer to, and I see what you mean about the new singles being cast-off material. I think it’s a fascinating retrospective now that they’re older guys, but you’re right. I'll be interested to see if the album is more experimental… Thanks for watching. Thanks for the comment. I really appreciate it.

@chattingtracks check out their last album The Ultra Vivid Lament which is all out looking back but in more interesting music. Best songs are Diapause, and It's Still Snowing in Sapporo
