Nice way to start the video with a warbonnet leading. Great video really like the way you use different vantage points to get the best shots Dave, stay safe out there and be blessed friend.

Thank you Tucker! Yea that warbonnet leader was a nice bonus that day! I like to mix it up a bit just to keep it from getting too mundane! Thanks for watching my friend!

Awesome 👌 freight trains 🚆 video 👌 📹 the first train lead engine wow moving around on the uneven tracks 👣 great captures 👍👏👌

Thank you Trevor! That engine was going over a turnout and the zoom tends to exaggerate the movements! Thanks for watching my friend!

That w/b manifest was huge and definitely would not fit in any siding. Likely symbol: H NTWPAS 1. Thanks for the post. Got to explore the Kootenai Sub many years ago with an ex-PTI driver (he knew the territory well) Absolutely stunning scenery. Occasionally a Builder will be late enough so the pax can enjoy it in daylight.

Thank you PCBill! Yea, BNSF likes to run big manifests up here! Can't argue with you about the scenery, that's for sure! Thanks for watching my friend!

Those were some awesome catches. Kicking it off with the Bonnet leading to kick things off, plus the meet w/ the dual ACe DPU's on the last 2 trains. Have a great day.

The paint on those 'fakebonnets', which dates from the time of the merger, seems to be holding up well

What is the brand and model of the locomotives in the video (GE or EMD) and how many hp do they have?
@PacificNWRailfan4 ай бұрын
Not an easy question to answer. There are both GE and EMD locomotives, in the video, and they vary in horsepower. Here's a link to BNSF locomotive roster, using the unit number you can find out the model of loco and then look up the specs. www.thedieselshop.us/BNSF.HTML Thanks for watching my friend!

A point of curiosity: when two trains meet and one has to wait, how do they decide which one waits and which passes? another great video, thanks for posting them.
@PacificNWRailfan4 ай бұрын
Thank you Jim! I'm not sure if the dispatcher has a certain criteria they have to follow, in that regards. I always assumed that if two train are going to meet, the dispatcher would put the the train that would arrive at the siding first, into the siding, or they would stop on the main and wait for the other train to go into the siding. I do know the dispatchers try to make the meets go smoothly where neither train has to wait too long for the passing train. Thanks for watching my friend!
@jimmiller16864 ай бұрын
@@PacificNWRailfan Thanks. now that I think about it, that's the only logical way to do it. It would be useless to have the first train wait until the second train pulled into the siding.
