@@gemstar7286 I'm not saying she shouldn't leave him. Clearly, she absolutely should. I'm saying he may kill her before she has a chance to escape. If she makes it known she's leaving him, he will most likely try to kill her, as he made it extremely obvious that that's what his plan was if she ever tried leaving him. So, she has to be careful, and be sneaky about it. Hence, her needing to go to bed with him, to pretend like she wasn't trying to escape.

Side note, but upon rewatching this, I just noticed at the 2:03 mark that the desktop picture of her he has on his laptop is the same picture of her he shared on the 4Chan site. That means he was thinking of her in light of the threats he made both on 4Chan, and in what he wrote, the entire time. That was a really subtle, yet really well done detail!

Just goes to show you you can never be 100% sure of how well you know someone! This entire film was so well done! Incredible acting, incredible script, and the pacing was spot on, building to the really awesome ending that left me hanging at the end with so many unanswered questions! I'm really finicky about what horror I like. It has to be really well written for me to enjoy it, rather than just rely on a body count the way far too many do, and this, right here, was perfect! Well done by everyone, all around!

At first, I thought it was hinting that if he didn't meet a girl that he would kill himself. The taking out of other people revelation had me suddenly scared for her. Very believable the way he tried to explain his way out of what he wrote, saying it was because he's a writer. I've watched enough of these short films to know there's a last moment twist, but part of me was hopeful for her to have been just reading into things and for the relationship to work out. This ending left me feeling like he was going to figure out what she had found & read on his phone. That his statement, "I won't let her" would end up with him taking her life, thus she really would never leave him.

i'm honestly amazed. until the ending, i wondered why this needed to be a story told in motion picture. but god damn I've been thinking about this for 15 minutes and just now really reflecting on what i've seen. my immediate reaction was to do chores... I just changed loads in the dishwasher, took out the trash, and washed my hands before i realized i needed to come and sit down and write my rhoughts out. kylie's reaction in the end is mesmerizing and i absolutely believe Jacky Park in that moment. the nature of the story manages a clever and easily identifiable meta. what it provides is not commentary, but expression. i cannot help but feel an empathy for kylie. in her mind, in the immediate future it is quite possible that she will die by her husband's hand. in the near future, if she manages to escape, he might hurt others or himself. cliffhanger endings are provocative and should be used within reason. i think the writing in this short film demonstrates excellent reasoning

Lacking stamina has nothing to do with it. The cliffhanger ending was beautifully done because it leaves it up to the imagination as to what is going to happen, which keeps you guessing, and thus thinking about all of the possibilities as to what could happen.
