This says amazing things for your craftsmanship, and amazing things for the engineers who designed the real-world counterpart! You've been precise enough in your work that you've been able to make a paper model withstand the same stresses, to scale, as the real goddamned airliner. Fantastic!

Dear Mr. Stewart, I am Alexander. Even though I'm just 10 years old, I am just like you a crazy Aviation Lover. Instead of making a Boeing 777-300ER, I took Inspiration from you and started Making the Younger Brother of the Boeing 777-300ER, the Boeing 787-10 Dreamliner From Singapore Airlines. I was shocked and the same time excited that this Beauty, the Dreamliner, Finally entered Commercial Service with Singapore Airlines. I am using the 1:50 scale instead of the 1:60 scale. I think the most difficult part will be the wing. Cya soon, You Alexander P.S. Please Answer this Comment! And I hope you will upload new videos!

***** im still in disbelief, so many question like how do all the individual parts not wear each other out? Paper isnt exactly a smooth surface and id imagine when individual parts pivot and rotate around each other its not a smooth transition. How can paper even become so strong too? How did you get a complete blue print of a commercial plane? How solid is the whole thing is it susceptible to creasing/bending? Is this real life???
@lucaiaconistewart10 жыл бұрын
MrDisgruntledGamer1 I'm sure over time, with repeated use, the parts would wear out. It's not metal. But you might be surprised how strong it is. Glue can be used to harden the surface of parts, which really helps. And the struts are solid inside, so they support a lot of weight. As for the blueprints, I don't really have any. I've had to design everything myself, which is why this project is taking for f*ckin ever. Check this video out (even if you just skip through it and don't watch the whole thing), as it shows the entire process behind the creation of the main gear: kzbin.info/www/bejne/bWjSg4Z5raygj6M
@krisnadiimam45569 жыл бұрын
+Luca Iaconi-Stewart : the support structure and the interlocking parts are really tiny, its pretty surprising it can held up to such load. you sure are confident loading them, arent you afraid that some of the parts buckled and you have to start all over again?

I totally think the 3D printing capability of this project is profitable.
