The nice thing about The Philippines is that there are a lot of different island and places that make it, so if you don’t like one place, there are other places to try out that might resonate with you better. It’s easy enough to travel around here too, so give it a try and find what works for you.

@@TheNYCexpat to be honest with you, brother I loved Mexico and so I studied Spanish for two years there. I lived in a neighborhood with no English. I did very well and I loved it. I loved the food and the people and I loved the nature I bought motorcycles and rode in the mountains also along the coast, but I’ve been to Vietnam twice this past year in the mountains and along the coast. I was only there for three months this year, but between the language barrier and the food I could not get used to. I went back to Mexico. I’ve been watching videos and a friend invited me to the Philippines. I understand they speak English and so I thought I would give it a try this January . I want to love it there also. If I do find an area and love it, I will sign for a year. Eventually, I will try other areas in south east Asia. I got friends in Vietnam and Cambodia now. But from what I understand, the Philippines is big and beautiful enough to travel for a year or two. See you soon, man.

Fine business Mike my man ! -- Good and bad - or not so good - if not bad ? -- Really like your honesty and up front info - so we can decide what best fits 'us' given the real world choices. -?- Both have their advantages depending on what is important - as we we are all different ! How you point that out is useful to people who may be trying to decide and are on the fence. It may be that for some their budget may well 'somewhat' decide for them ? Old expats on fixed incomes for example. 🤔 Like me ? ( 🤗) I appreciate your perspective and can relate - because I'm 'frugal' myself ! - - - Seemingly - I prefer the VIBE in Eastwood City -- for my old retired bones. Comfort --&-- convenience appear to combine for my liking - right off the elevator - from my ''frugal'' studio ! -- IF -- 'I' can afford to live there ? Saw your trip to immigration video every 2 months - not bad at all. ---- Very seriously hoping I can afford it '''there''' on that $320 studio rent price (?) on my $1600 SS check - given my 6 medication costs too ? 🤔 ( Noticed Mercury Drugs is right next door ? ) ---- Thanks for the info.

@@KB3TLE Hey, thank you man. I try to put out helpful info, so I’m glad you found it so. I have an agent if youre looking for places, when you get here just email me at newyorkerinThePhilippines at gmail and I’ll send you her info and let her now you’r’e looking for a place. If she doesn’t have anything then I also do consultant work for new expats here of cheap so just let me know if you need. In regards to your budget, watch my other video where i talk about how much The Philippine costs. I go over all the basics and necessities and lay out the prices so you can do the math. For some people 1600 is enough for others it’s not. In my experience medications have been affordable here, just stick to local pharmacies and not hospital pharmacies because they will sometimes charge up to ten times more on the price! @@Beyondthebox11 sure thing, I have had a few offered to tour some condos, but it was nothing good. I'm trying to find some good price ratio ones to show you guys rather than just the overpriced expat stuff because there are a lot of those, but there are also good deals to be found. Like I said in another video you can find an executive studio, which is essentially a one bedroom without a door for around $300-350 and you can find that most places if you ship around. In Bonifacio global city even a regular studio is probably going to start at more like $450 with an executive or one bedroom $500 upward. You pay a premium price there, but it's a nice place. I'll do a video on there soon, I just got the first sponsor for the channel so hopefully we will work together more and I'll have some extra money to do more cool videos lol

Right now we are living inLipa Batangas. We just put our house on the market and we hope to move out by the end of the year and move back to the the city. The driving back-and-forth is not fun. @@robertdonvito3443 haha yes that place is a classic and $2000 should be good depending on your rent. Like I said in the video Bonifacio global city is the most expensive. If you look up studios maybe they will start at around $500 in Bonifacio global city and the same studio would be around $350 at McKinley hill If you're only doing a month stay and have a savings though the few hundred bucks isn't going to make much of a difference, stay in Bonifacio global city and have fun!

Hi Mike. Thanks for sharing. Good stuff and much appreciated. I'm married to a filipina. We have a 5 year old daughter together and have been living in northern Bohol for the past 6 years in an area that is very rural/provincial. Maybe you or one of your subscribers can recommend or suggest as a good place to check out and/or settle in Cebu, outside the major hub areas for a condo or house? Close to hospitals and malls such but not downtown if you know what I mean. Maybe 30 minutes to an hour out. Thanks for your time .
