Imphal: In an effort to address the recent violence that gripped the north-eastern state of Manipur, Chief Minister N Biren Singh on Monday extended support to the affected persons and assured educational arrangements for students.
Mr Singh made a number of crucial announcements for the people, assuring houses for the displaced and education arrangements for students as hundreds continue to be in relief camps post-violence.
As per the official records close to 47,000 people have been evacuated in the violence-torn situation and hundreds of people lost their homes which were gutted in the violence.

When Meiteis themselves have shown their disagreement by way of violence action attacking villages, what credibility and importance is the peace committee? It compels its citizens to think, Peace by word and paper means Violence on ground level. It is hard to believe that those Multiple Violence in the past like on the day HM visit tribal areas, CM of Assam visit Imphal, Governor visit to tribal areas etc KukiZo villages were attacked. Is the government indirectly trying to show that the Northeast India is not considered as India because of the difference in physical appearance, different cultures and tradition so their problems don't deserved attention of the PM & central government. Is the government waiting for the civil war to spread throughout the entire Northeast and then kick out Northeadt from the rest of India as a seperate country? The silence of the PM on such a big issue is not only sad but astonishing. Now it's not only about because Manipur the PM & central government seems to have passed out the messages clearly that Northeast is just a Vote Bank and they're not interested in their problems and wellfare. In fact the government seems to be waiting for the whole region to burn down and then grab an opportunity where the people of the entire northeast region come together and demand for a seperate nation and then kick the entire region out of India as they have been a kind of stumbling block in converting India into a Hindu country with its citizens that look the same in appearances and culturally as well.

I read some old history’s I imagine if kuki’s didn’t said they weren’t Nagas n left . I guess there will be a different story ATM. Some media houses are reporting false news and addding more fuel, some people and the state forces are aiding and abetting the meiteis and the central govt remains a mute spectator! In this scenario peace loving citizens from both the sides are not allowed to speak and even few Meitei media house like Mami tv has to be closed down for reporting the fact. Comments should not be one sided and not be communal. All should involve in restoring normalcy, and nothing would be gained by both the warring sides. Someone would be just fishing in the troubled waters.
