Nice looking light. But for around $40, a Wurkkos TS11, extended tube, 18650, 616 meter throw, 94,000 candelas, and Anduril 2.0 UI, seems a better deal. 😮

Because of your review I bought one of these, Manker MC13 II SBT90_2 with a Copper heat sink section, it gets very hot. We use it in coming of age rituals. To prove ones bravery and endurance tolerating pain, you have to hold the Manker from Turbo all the way until it steps completely down. The resulting burns on your hands are proof that you survived the test and are a real flashlight enthusiast. 😁

I have the Manker MC13II Copper/Black version. Love it so much, I am considering pulling the trigger on the newest Ti/Cu version. I love the look of that light. I would love to see Lumintop do a Ti/Cu version of the FW21 X9L SBT90.2 as well. For those like myself who love the appearance of raw or polished titanium, it just makes so much sense having the copper heat sink in a pocket light, to offset the poor heat dissipation characteristic of titanium. I have 9 SBT90.2 lights now, of all of them, I most often reach for the Wurrkos TS30S Pro and the Manker MC13II Copper/Black. Great review, thanks Cheule! Always appreciated!

I just found this channel and it’s great. I just bought this light and I purchased Mankerlight 18350 and 18650 batteries thinking that that’s the way I should go and now I’m not sure I’m getting the best out of this. So many numbers and high drain and high discharge , protected and unprotected, button top and flat top. Man. I sure wouldn’t might a good lonk or two for the correct batteries to make this thing sing!!

I wish manker would make more lights. The UI is really amazing, great quality, good drivers. I have their mk38 with sft40, that thing is a beast, have found nothing quite like it on the market (except maybe a wuben A1) This is a great light but id rather carry the weltool if im honest, i might still get this one because its extremely fun and unique but not for edc. They actually have a quad emitter light, the e14 i think. Its like a d4v2 but with reflectors and it has the same battery tube system. Great Stuff.

I have a Lumintop FW21 X9L which uses the SBT90.2 and it's an absolute beast of a pocket thrower. The main benefit of the SBT90.2 in the smaller lights is not the distance of the throw, it's the size and intensity of the hotspot. You don't just light up a 3 foot radius, but rather a 10 foot radius. One of my most used lights is my Amutorch XT60 NB90.16. It uses some Chinese emitter with 16 diodes and it outputs something crazy like 10,000 lumens. The hotspot is twice the size of my SBT90.2 lights but gets twice as bright, and I can keep it on the second step of the brightness ramp and it will last forever without getting hot with a single 21700. It's a shame that they don't make them anymore.

With an extension tube, I used an 18650 3100 mah 3.7v Nitecore battery. At turbo, it does not give 4500 lumens but 3850 lumens. Deception is on the part of the manufacturer.

I havent bought a light for a while, I'm far more picky than I use to be and have most bases covered. But this light looks sexy, I love the idea of SBT90.2 in a compact form. I need some help finding an 18650 Armageddon flashlight that is similar to the Thrunite TN12 Pro, but with a decent tail button...instead of the floppy, easy to tear rubber tailbbutton the TN12 uses. I prefer a metal side button and metal tail button, but they could be durable plastic if necessary. I'm not worried about the LED because I could change that if I need to, and I'm not overly concerned about whether it's a flood or thrower, but I like the TN12 form factor. Double protection for the USBC port would be nice(internally waterproof port with rubber cover). I want an 18650 because it has enough capacity and I feel it would be easier to find 18650s instead of 21700s in an emergency. I understand a AA light could also work well during an emergency of several days, but I can't find one with type C charging on the light housing. If they have type C charging they have it on the battery and I want to limit opening up the battery and exposing the insides to the elements. I enjoy Olight flashlights, but I don't like their proprietary system for this scenario. Is there a metal tail button from a different flashlight that could screw onto the TN12? Anyone have any ideas?

Can't link but pilotdog does metal tail switches. That's one possible option. Budget light forum is an amazing resource as well for questions like this. Decades of experience in there

You should try the speras m4. When I bought it a couple years ago, you could get one for about $34. They are $60 now. Just going off of advertised range the speras m4 does around 660m while the manker m13 you just reviewed advertises 665m. Both are 18350 throwers and both can use an extension for 18650. Your fellow youtuber flashaholic turned me on to it a couple years ago and it's hard to beat it for throw in such a small form factor.

What driver is in this light? Manker advertises their nice and efficient driver for the SFT-40 version of the MC13 II, but that line is suspiciously absent in the product description of the SBT90.2 version. I fear it may be a simple FET driver or something...

What's a SBT90.2 truly about? What's the hype and what's truly good about it? All i know is this option is very expensive compared to those I'm experienced using such as SFT40 i believe which is already bright and colorless
@JaayyMan2 ай бұрын
Sbt90.2 is a combo of high lumens and throw. But from my experience it feels pointless in a small flashlight. SFT40 is the best option for decently high lumens and throw in a smaller light.
@combustionpropulsion48832 ай бұрын
Super high intensity, it can push up to 6000 lumens with a very small die. The biggest downside is cost and heat. It's like $40+ just for the emitter, so lights with it are usually pretty expensive. All of the best LED throwers on the market use the SBT90.2, it just puts soo much light out of such a small spot that it's easy for focus into an intense beam.
@花XOI2 ай бұрын
@@combustionpropulsion4883 thanks for the clarification. Certainly it seems like a enticing tech and rather one that's pushing thermal physics which is a extremely difficult restriction to deal with as far as I'm understanding.

@BrianD1961Ай бұрын
The tube that comes with the Manker MC13II is extendable, as explained at 11:34 in the video. It will accept an 18350 in its most compact form and will extend to accept an 18650 battery. A separate 21700 battery tube is available as an additional accessory, which I highly recommend. I most often use the 21700 tube with a Molicel P45B 21700 high drain battery. This config makes for a quite impressive pocket rocket…

It's a shame you had to compare it to a Hank light. They're toys (hence the horrible ui), and not well made ones at that. Of course it's going to look horrible next to a decently thought out and made flashlight. But what else are going to in that form factor with that emitter.
@combustionpropulsion48832 ай бұрын
Hank lights are tools for enthusiasts, not for the average Joe. The UI is complex because it has EVERYTHING, something that a flashlight enthusiast can completely customize to their liking. All of my Hank lights have been pretty well made so I'm not sure where your insult to quality is coming from.
