Hello Blake: I’m 68 I’ve driven truck51 years over the road been everywhere. My wife saw you on Fox News she told me you will enjoy Blake’s videos,buddy you got it going on these kids that are in your classes have got it made. Not everyone is cutout for collage if your not listen to your self and your teacher. I’ve seen so much different industry all over this country and Canada don’t be shy don’t be afraid to ask questions you will learn so much every industry is willing to share. From steel mills to logging to minding shoot I’ve seen helicopters being built. God Bless you Great job Blake.

Fantastic education, Blake. I’m pretty sure Scott & I went to school together (he at OSU & I at UM) in the early 90s.

Thank you for putting this together!! To many people think that logging is still butchering the forests when it was a 'take' mentality compared to the preserve, maintain, and utilize the forest mindset currently. There's not enough recruitment coming into the industry it seems and the men and women in it now are becoming as seasoned as the timber they harvest. I would've been a 4th generation timber faller of my family, but with the speckled fowl they were all pushed to the eastern oregon woods for another 5 years of cutting, eventually out of the woods completely, and they all swore my cousins and I to be tar and feathered to work in the woods. So I can't be to loud in the recruitment area because I am also a statistic, but not from the want everyday to be in the woods!!!! Thanks for sharing this and I hope many many eyes have the chance to see the videos

Good videos. Could you do one on forestry equipment technicians? America is suffering from a major shortage of mechanics and technicians which is a good paying and rewarding occupation.

Great Video!! Just goes to show the path to a successful career may not be through a 4 year college. While those folks are still in school, these vocational jobs are paying well and allowing young people to gain valuable experience everyday! Thanks to Mr. Manley for making all of these videos, I know it's alot of hard work that will hopefully show some young folks the path to a great career.

why don't you run tri drives instead of tags ,more traction more weight carrying capacity. In Alberta that's all you see
@boardbysled

Our bridge laws in the PNW regarding axle spacing means that tridem trucks don't offer any weight capacity advantage and may actually decrease the net weight a truck can haul.

Kids have almost 0% chance of being an equipment operator unless your a owners son. Good luck out there kids. Show a rigging crew
