I've heard that they do a great job with their heat treat and blade grind. Their knives are supposed to perform really well. Glad to see someone reviewing them. Thanks

I dig. The Comrade looks interesting as well. How is the spring tension? Is it really easy to close or does it have decent stiffness? Thanks Dirk.

The spring tension is nice. Very easy to open and close.

The extra stops are likely there to appease EU regs. Slip joints are popular over there. Manly manufactured in Bulgaria as well? Thanks Dirk. 👍🗡

Yes I’m sure that has something to do with all the stops. And yes I believe they are manufactured in Bulgaria.

They're only manufactured in Bulgaria, there's actually an upload from them somewhere on yt showing them heat treating blades and other operations in their small factory. The extra stops are nothing to do with EU regs, as far as I know there are none regarding knives, each country has wildly different rules, in Ireland you can't carry any knife whatsoever, not even a Vic Classic, in the Czech Republic you can walk around town with a machete on your belt. Where I now live, which is no longer in the EU, the UK, we can only EDC non-locking folders with a blade under 3in long, there's no legislation about half stops or extra stops but I do like it as a safety feature on my Wasp, although I'm fine using slipjoints with no stops, like generations before me did without any issues. In Germany they can have locking blades, but they can't be one-handed openers, or they can have non-locking one handed openers. So they can carry a Rebar but not a Wave, a Wasp with added thumbstud, or a locking Kershaw, but not a locking Spyderco.
