How wonderful it is to see some one thinking about us men out here. Not only for nice hand made sweaters, but patterns for us as well. Has any one evergiven thought to how many men out here like me do crocheting ? ? I do for the homeless, and for one a charity. Thank you so much and Bless you ! From Ross

Anno, I have watched/listened to this several times as I crocheted on other WIPS, just to get familiar with the project before I tackle my first sweater. What I want you to know that as many times as I had this on I never played it to the complete end until this morning. The bloopers at the end. Your hubby is a hoot while he models your end project! Gave me quite the giggles as he performed his “dance moves”. Very enjoyable, thank him for me.😊

Excuse me I have a question 😭 I can’t figure it out and she hasn’t emailed me back or responded to my comments. For row 3 where did you put the last stitch in ? Like at the beginning of the row you slip stitch into the first stitch of the last round and then you chain one and turn around right but where is that very last stitch? Is it where you put the slip stitch?

Oh, I would love to buy from your shop ! CONGRATULATIONS and good luck with it ! 🍀 Sadly I won't be able to buy from it I suppose, since I don't own a credit card.... You are such a sweetheart though, to donate to a charity in honour of your lovely niece. I find myself thinking about her quite often, especially this month, since this Sunday my youngest would have turned 23, when I gave birth to him he was stillborn . I can't help but wonder what kind of a man he would have been, what he would have looked like.... I do realise that there's no comparing my loss to that of a child, a young woman even, that you have witnessed growing up and that you have loved for so many years, but it hurts still the same.... Thank you again, chère amie, for this great tutorial, my husband will be tickled pink ! Lots of love from a "rainy" Belgium ! ❤️

I agree too! It doesn't look lacy which would turn men away.. It looks thick and warm and my husband's thin so this is perfect. And yet because it IS crochet, the spaces between the stitches mean it won't be overly warm either. 🙂

@@AnnooCrochetDesignsplease help! I am working on the old manly man sweater you have on KZbin and I’m having the same issue as the other woman had a few years back. I got to the front and marked off the arm holes at 12 and began crocheting the 54 stitches and fell short of the other side. I have 44 more stitches for the front in addition to the 54 totaling 98 stitches for the front! I followed everything double-checking myself since I’m a beginner at crochet (I’ve completed several projects; some unicorns for my grandchildren, a baby blanket for my grandson, a couple of hats, some granny square projects using magic circles, & a few others - so it’s not like I’ve not crocheted anything.) I don’t even know if you get these messages anymore but I’m hoping you do since I’ve been doing this sweater for days now (I am Disabled and need to rest frequently since my injury is to my neck). Please respond? Im going to be so devastated if I can’t complete this!!!

Hallo from South Africa again! Thank you Annoo for this pattern. Firstly, I would like to say that I love your creations. There are quite a few that I have on my list to make for me, or as a present for somebody. I have also been crocheting since I was about 5 years old, and I love it! I asked for a pattern for men and was very excited when i saw your tutorial. Actually, I went and bought some yarn to make this sweater for my two boys (actually not boys anymore, one is 21 and the other 24) and I am almost done with the first one. I am done with the body and the back part, but when I wanted to start the front part, I did not have enough stitches for the front to be the same size as for the back and I started with 120 stitches (54+54+12+12=132). But that is okay, I will adapt to make it work! Xxxxx

I am having the same issue! I was about to do the second row of 54 stitches on the back panel when I noticed that it was almost half of the sweater and there wouldn’t be space for armholes that way. I’m glad I saw your comment because I thought it was just me and I wasn’t sure if I should adjust or not. I hope your boys liked their sweaters!!!

Dear Annoo, your sweater is so beautiful and simple, love the idea! You are amazing and i love your blog and vibrant inspiring personality! But particularly with this sweater, the size turned out too small. I wanted size M, but when i started i had to adjust it to 132 st starting chain. The width was then okay, but the length when i followed the number of rows given in the video, was ~20 cm shorter then needed (for 173 cm tall person), and the armhole was too small. I had to rip it all and adjust the number of rows all along each part of sweater. It worked our well in the end. Thank you for the idea and tutorial!

I made this with two-colors stripes (that's because I soon realized the yarn I had would not be enough!) and when it came to the collar, I kept working it in pattern instead of single stitch (it doesn't look completely unified with the rest, but the effect at one glance is good) and I added a final round in crab stitch to it.

Wait! You live in Boston?! Oh that’s so annoying as I have family in a Boston and Maine (I live in Australia) and went to visit them a couple years ago, buuuuut, I didn’t knit or crochet back then :(. Your husband is so into the modelling business 😋and such a cool sweater! Interesting enough to both look at and crochet, but simple enough men can comfortably wear it. I’m definitely going to make my Dad one of those but his birthday is at the beginning of Summer lol. Oh well, I’ll make it anyway! I may need some extra yarn though as he is very tall! I hope to send you some squares at some point, but I’m going to make several to send at once as the shipping isn’t always great from Australia - but I still want to help! Thanks for such a pretty pattern 💗💗💗 Lots of love, Miss 🐝
