But the truck in the beginning was going way too fast. It wasn't a highway over there and just a few steps ahead is a really, really sharp curve that goes to some mountain. Something tells me that truck wasn't normal either. I don't believe it was the girl's fault for simply throwing a rock. They were being followed by something evil. That was definitely not an accident. (Just my 2 cents).

The fun thing about this game is that you have to study each of the Yokai/monsters/Spirits for their patterns. That... Spinning thing? (I don't know what it is) have sharp eyesight. So much that anything that moves will get their attention. It's also stationary once it loses sight/has no target. And that black Yokai(Blind Spirit) with bandages and nails on its head have really sharp hearing. They can hear you when you run. So you were really, REALLY lucky at 28:10 Anyway, good luck finding your lost... Oniichan*cringe* and Dog.

Also I’m a total fan of Manly but I saw the Game Grumps playthrough of this first and the comments section on this is so different. It’s actually about what the ghosts are based on in Japanese folklore and about the culture, whereas the Game Grumps’ comments section was just about how bad they were playing lol. Spoiler for the second game... After finding out that the tutorial "voice" is in fact the voice of a malicious spirit that controls people, the "coincidence" of poor Poro getting hit by a truck like that becomes far more plausible, and even more upsetting/messed up. She didn't throw the pebble at exactly the wrong time because of bad luck, she was pushed to do so. Poor baby.

My guess is the twist of the game is there are no ghost at all. The little sis is unable to cope up with Poro's death and did not tell the big sister, when the sister went searching the imouto did not obey her and left the house. To punish her the big sister played a prank (the big monster), this resulted in the imouto freaking out and outrunning her only to miss each other at the end. Now the big sister is panicking and called the neighbors (other ghosts) and they are all trying to catch her to return her home. The headless horse is probably just a car passing by. A game over is probably because the imouto returns home with her big sister and there is no more game.
