I believe one game was vaguely sort of was like this. The ai was malicious to the player but only in a hurt your feelings for making you exist. Though arguably as one person said blaming the player rather than the creator is a bit.. Though the player was not really a psycho soo. And yeah T-gotchi is pretty close. Also in OneShot Manly tried to use the crowbar on the sun very early on and got a chaotic evil achievement. (Protagonist was not an ai but there was a sane ai in the game so it arguably counts.)

I believe Manly has played a few games where the MC is just literally psychotic and everything else is totally fine and normal. MIGHT be one that's AI related but i dont remember, too many videos at this point lmao. Hell they even did a gakkou gurashi style game where the MC sees everything through a perfectly happy, normal lense, then you get someone elses perspective and its straight disgusting, desolate, blood, maggots, etc everywhere lol.

For what it's worth, Melissa seems loyal even if not monogamous. She says very clear she is not into monogamous relationships at this time, she is honest in communication about how she will be with you and other people too and she gives you smooch as a goodbye and says you have a good smile despite your appearance (blood on clothes is a turn off for most people, just saying). Better than a lot of Harem protagonist who go around courting girls and guys while not being honest about being in relationships already. oh and she kills people that reject her, but we all can't be perfect, you know?

I think the occasional campiness of this game helps it stand out more; sure the self aware sentient dating sim gone wrong has been done a lot, but I think the moments of self aware levity and the somewhat sympathetic character of Melissa helps alot more here. Again like you said, this seems very reminiscent of the gravity falls episode in terms of tone. This does make me wonder though, what was the true og dating sim gone wrong game ?

There were a lot of badboy/crime drama/ antihero dating Sims that sort of predated the doki doki horror style. I'd give examples if I remembered any but I wasn't really into the scene at the time. That's why when doki doki came out, a lot of people were surprised even though there were blatant warnings: it was usually contained to bad endings that get depressing or violent, to add interest
