Manly, I just wanna say, I am very glad you introduced this dev to the world. As a black dude from Georgia, all of these characters feel ridiculously familiar, and I love every minute of them. The games play less like full fledged games, and more like concepts giving us little snippets of a greater setting that the creator clearly lovingly crafted in their mind. It always feels like a dark comedy with darker undertones, but doesn't dip too far into the dread that it creates. It's all so fascinating. That being said, big bug momma was not at at all something I expected, and now getting further into the mythological aspect with this lady, I feel like it's just gonna get more fun from here.

It's actually kinda sad how the "bad" ending is Philip getting brain damage from Maggie smacking tf out of him "one punch (cane smack) man" style and his family was probably worried about him.

I really love this creator's game and I really hope they keep making them. The gameplay is fairly simple but the characters and worldbuilding they've created really draw you in. Plus there's always some little twist that subverts your expectations. Like seriously, I love the fact that in the "bad" ending Maggie just sends the man to the hospital.

As funny as it is with Maggie being the one to knock out the bad guy in the bad ending instead of her, I think that's the point, it's not "her" bad ending. The "bad ending" is for Philip, as in the good ending he got some sense talked into him and remains unscathed, having learned a lesson. While in the bad ending he is knocked out for his mistakes and is out-cold past Christmas when he could've been by his family's side.

Manlys voice is extra silky this video and I'm here for it. Man could read to me all day and night and I'd never grow tired of it. On another note, I used to think these games were like some weird furry shlock and I have to say I actually look forward to them now. The Dev's do a good job at actually making a "fun" experience without all the really weird and uncomfortable themes that comes along with this kind of style. I enjoy these releases and look forward to each one. The ridiculous figures really made it sell that way until you finally get into them a bit and it has a pretty solid foundation going for its own little universe.

I was a little disappointed with how few characters there were, because the interactions are what I like most about their games, but overall it was fun and set off an effectively creepy atmosphere, and I like how the game over is Phillip getting hit on the head and missing Christmas, ha ha. The Monster reminds me of that one Christmas Tradition (in a specific country) where a Horse Skull Wearing Guy comes, has a Rap Battle with you, then depending on wheter you win or lose steals your food. (Thank you Samonella)

The creature is a Southern Welsh Christmas monster known as a Mari Lwyd, meaning 'Grey Mare', except it's not a mare in this game. It's a a horse-figure puppet carried from door to door by wassail-singing groups during the Christmas season, with a jaw-articulated equine skull decorated with ribbons, ornaments, and other festive things, and a sheet draped over the person carrying it, giving the whole thing a ghostly appearance. Traditionally, when arriving at a house, a Mari Lwyd troupe will sing out a challenge to the people inside before performing a sort of call-and-response called a “pwnco.” Anyone inside the house is then tasked with replying in a rhyme scheme even wittier than the creature’s. After the rhyme battle, the Mari Lwyd is allowed inside, where the players are given food and drink before heading out to darken someone else’s doorstep.

As someone who's currently going through a cold, I feel your pain Manly. Just make sure to not strain yourself, yeah? Last time I got sick and became blessed with the gigachad voice I was talking to the point where I actually lost my voice for a few days. Couldn't make a noise without a painful coughing fit and had to write down everything I wanted to say on pieces of paper. I know you're pretty chill about making daily videos, and that you've said you don't really feel like taking breaks n'shit, but you also put hours of effort into making these vids- hours that you should *technically* spend resting and recovering. (I mean, I dunno, maybe you *did* take a break and used a backlog or something seeing as you said you're "coming OFF of a cold" and I haven't noticed you sounding sick in any of the other vids) I should probably stop my adhd from influencing whatever I write cause now I just sound like a rambling nuthead lmao But yeah, just wanna remind you that we have no issues with you taking breaks from time to time. These games are always a surprise. We go from a first person shooter to puzzles, from just humans to anthropomorphic & humans, adding shadow people, then there's the night shift one where you have to fend off THE GODS and now the bad ending has you actually beat up the intruder. Funny stuff, man.
