Manners for Missionaries 3: "Appearance and Social Skills" (1994)

This video is aimed at teaching etiquette to everyone but is aimed primarily at full-time LDS missionaries. While not an official production of either Brigham Young University or the LDS Church, the creators were faculty and instructors for both BYU and the Provo MTC, and the film has been shown at many missions through the world over the past two decades.
This segment covers how to dress and interact with others.

Though many make fun; I agree that the Lord looketh upon the heart , thank goodness for that. No this video is not about the Lord, this is about dressing appropriately to better reach others about the gospel. This requires wisdom and understanding. Its not about the appearance its about what not to do that may be a distraction from the teaching of Jesus Christ. Its about dressing in a matter that is pleasing to God. Not dressing in a way that cause the mind to wander. Surely there are those who understand this? God bless those who understand.

Too bad they didn't have smart phones. I write people's names that I meet on them in the note app and I write where I know them. Sometimes that helps. Don't make eye contact with dogs that are not on leashes. Now days they have lint rollers (same thing just bigger and more practical)

I served a mission in 2001 and I had never seen this video up until now, lol We had to look professional but we never had all these rules to abide by. I guess rules changed before I went on a mission. It would have been a lot of rules to remember, lol
