Thank you Sister Becca and Elder Bednar :) I testify what Sister Becca said, once we strive to keep our covenants and God sees our efforts. They truly appreciate us and the promise is sure in the scriptures, as long as we strive to keep our covenants day by day in words, thoughts, desire and action we can have that access which power comes from on High and the feelings of true joy, happiness, pure love, hope, comfort and feel worth that the world and Satan cannot give, only Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ through the Holy Ghost, since the beginning that is the pattern. Their role has a great effect in our life. It is hard to live and move forward without our covenants to God and without Godhead in our life.

This was a great video. I do wish more videos were done in this regard but with those who struggled their way through hardship because of how various challenging life circumstances combined into a complex melting pot of issues. There are not always those who make it through mental health issues unscathed. There are those who develop addictions or other sinful habits because of the relentless crushing waves of adversity that engulf and overcome them mentally and emotionally. Some of those waves of trial can come from members (family or church) who inadvertently say or do things that stoke the fire. But, these same struggling, good, and at times sinful children of God still push through and hold on. These are the types of stories that may provide hope to so many who fall into similar categories of trying, failing, sinning, and struggling for resilience. Please interview these types of members as well. We need these stories too.

I hadn’t read your comment until after I posted my long statement, comment my Testimony. I am one of those people,a member, a sister and child of God that has lived that life enduring everything you just said. I feel overwhelmed by a drive coming deep from within myself to start helping others heal from all the emotional sickness that pollutes the minds destroys our bodies and infiltrates our souls. Sisters and brothers can’t be taught how to love, how to hope or have trust, you can’t teach compassion and faith, can’t tell someone to forgive or understand. Humanity is suffering without knowing what love is anymore. Our Planet, mortal life, is dying because the Earth, beauty of natural life, it’s all dying without love. We are destroying each other for money power fame popularity beauty etc and no one realizes their faith and beliefs are disappearing slowly Hope is lost trust is gone ,love non existent ,compassion and understanding not hardly. Can’t lose hope, prayer is hope, God is Hope, a wish is hope. Help heal the emotional pain by sharing tragedies /trials of members who’ll share

Is this offered everywhere or is it starting just now? I feel emotionally drained by watching how the gentile nations of the world are being brought down into captivity, and us along with them just like Nephi warned in 1 Nephi 14:7 I try and seek the Lord daily but every time new mandates and edits by these people come out I feel fear and sometimes worry I will have a mental breakdown. I particularly worry about my children

I echo her words. How can it not be real after all that I have felt? I can feel the spirit even now in my heart. I have been able to feel more and more of the truth as I have recorded how I feel after praying. President Nelson promised that if we write down our thoughts and feelings after we pray that we will grow into the principle of revelation. I am beginning to experience this blessing. Thank you for sharing.

Thank you for the great interview. I feel this year has been extremely difficult personally. I was born and raised in the church but it was only in my late teens did I feel the Saviour's powerful Atonement in my life. I believe our relationship with God and Jesus Christ is personal and special. I definitely have more hardships in my life but I'm grateful because I've never felt closer to my Saviour and my Heavenly Father. I know they love us all and I'm grateful for all the many resources the Church provides for us as well. 💕❤️ I hope everyone is doing well and that you remember that you're strong and loved. ❤️

Yes, love it Rebecca! Great Joseph Smith quote. It’s all about gaining knowledge of God and things pertaining to heaven and heavenly things. A man is saved no faster than he gains knowledge, said Joseph Smith. As missionaries we’d teach the Holy Ghost’s role is to testify of the Father and the Son, pure intelligence about them….

So very true. Its not just one thought, one feeling….. all of my senses are stimulated at once, and inside my body doesn’t get a warm feeling from the Holy Ghost, or a prayer of mine answered,I swear that every atom and nerve starting from the tips of my toes, every cell inside and out of my body, electrical or pulsating waves of energy will travel within me. Clarity in vision, mind calm, thoughts are true

I needed this video, I’ve felt so unloved by god and I’ve been so depressed for so long I’ve been very suicidal and not to mention I struggle with addiction. I feel so unloved I’ve never read the Book of Mormon in all my 16 years of living and I’m trying so hard to read it but the motivation is so hard. I’ve felt so alone lately and I haven’t been able to feel the spirit or feel gods love for me and just hope that I’m still loved by him. I know that sounds crazy of a church member to say but these feelings are real and I feel like a complete failure in gods eyes. I hope I’m able to make a recovery and heal..

You have many others who love you and I know you have a loving bishop and youth leaders who love you. You can make the same effort to watch and comment on this video to also reach out to them and find this class and participate in it. You too will find what Becca found - emotional resilience and our Father's love and love for yourself. You are important and have purpose. 🙂❤️

That doesn't sound crazy at all. Depression is hard, and addiction makes things much harder. I just hope that you keep hope in your life and then allow yourself to do those things that will bring God's blessings to you--such as studying scripture. There's a lot to worry about in life, but the first principles of the Gospel of Jesus Christ--faith in Him and repentance--are always where we should focus our efforts. Many of us have experienced great difficulty, and God is not unaware. He knows that we would otherwise be totally lost, but that through the Savior we don't have to be, and He looks forward to he day when our troubles are overcome. We should, too.

Me too my Brother!!! Its a hard path your walking on with big deep dark holes that you’ll fall in. I don’t know your details of suffering but I know what dying slow from depression feels like. I’ve survived death from depression more than once and one thing I have to tell you. You WILL NOT be forgotten, you are NOT ALONE!!!You ARE LOVED!!You DO HAVE A PURPOSE!!! Do not lose your HOPE, you need people that will listen without judgement, having empathy and understanding you…..I get you 100%. Im LDS and been where you are recently and I’m still healing and growing stronger. You can rediscover yourself and strengthen your faith. Don’t let the low sense of self and negative energy win, it sucks feeling that way right?? You are strong and fully capable of escaping the evil grips of depression🥰🥰🥰😇

Easier to be emotionally resilient with natural disasters and catastrophes for me than people personally attacking me haha cuz natural disasters is NATURAL than people trying to hurt me; if it's boxing then it's normal to fight in the ring it makes sense. But on social situations? It isn't natural cuz it's supposed to be "love one another"! And my fight or flight response is conflicting with being long-suffering and peaceful like Jesus, and ripping someone's head off. Maybe I should take the course haha

Here's what we believe about spirits being hes or shes or neither: "Gender is an essential characteristic of individual premortal, mortal, and eternal identity and purpose." -- The Family: A Proclamation to the World You have a spirit, and your spirit was just as much a girl (assumption based on your name, I've never met a boy named Kathryn) before you were born as it is now that you have a body. Prophets such as Nephi (1 Nephi 11:11 have seen the Holy Ghost and have described it as a he.

Emotional resilience is what it took for me to walk away from this all. I look to the left and the right and see praise for feeling replacing facts, but they can't. I have hope that we can one day embrace the facts don't always bring joyful feelings, but truth shall set us free.

My faith is evidence-based. I have a relationship with Heavenly Father, Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit. The Bible, Book of Mormon and other modern scripture together are a powerful witness of a God who fulfills his promises. I see how people who make sacrifices to follow Christ are changed for the better. The restored gospel is very different from different perspectives. You can feel the Spirit and faith powerfully in your life again after losing it. I've experienced it. "Peace I leave with you. My peace I give unto you. Not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled. Neither let it be afraid."

Using your “feelings” to find truth is dangerous and is what leads people to the great and spacious building as well because it feels pretty nice and comfortable there. The gospel teaches that we find truth through the spirit of revelation which is accessible through the heart AND the mind in combination. You can’t just feel truth - its not enough. Rational study helps us to discern the deceptions of the devil who has “led away the hearts of many”. I’ve noticed this focus on “feels” a lot in the church lately, it comes in tandem with an increasingly feminized paradigm that is quite politically correct these days. In my opinion, the adversary is and always has promoted the feminine feels over the masculine rationality in an attempt to invert the natural order of God. It’s a shame to see so much of this inversion creeping into the church.

You're right that there is more to the Holy Ghost than just feelings, but the feelings that come to us not just from ourselves but from a member of the Godhead are crucial. Paul described what the Spirit of God produces in us as well as he could in Galatians 5:22, and some of that definitely includes feelings. Sometimes, feelings that we know didn't originate from us are a better indicators of God's presence than the thoughts we have. When the resurrected Christ visited a pair of disciples on the road, He taught them from scripture and most certainly spoke in a way that appealed to their rational brains, but after He left, they highlighted what struck them the most as they asked, "Did not our hearts burn within us?" Among the poorest and least educated people of the world--those who often cannot even read--the Holy Ghost still has the power to warm their hearts as they hear the true Gospel preached. Yes, the witness of the Holy Ghost comes as truth is taught, so the truth must be taught and the truth is logical, but even those who are not practiced in using reason and logic can rely on the inspiration of God's Spirit.

The feelings of love, joy, peace, long-suffering, patience, kindness, etc. are fruits of the Spirit. They lead exactly zero people to the great and spacious building which is filled with the pride of the world. That building is filled with those that criticize and scoff at living prophets and those that are partaking of the fruit of the tree of life which is a representation of the love of God. This young woman is partaking of that fruit and is on the right path. Let us rejoice in that.
