Joe Schmoe Spence is a lot slower than manny and not as active in the ring. Manny has done good against bigger guys with KO power by throwing combinations and keeping them on defensive side so they can’t get off punches, then using footwork to evade. You can’t underestimate the value of experience. I think it would be similar to the Thurman fight, where it would be a tough fight for both and either one could win a split decision.

Gerome Anderson Spence is 30 and Crawford is 32. They’re no longer young guys in the ring. Manny was 33 when everyone thought he should retire after that Marquez fight saying he was over the hill and no longer great. Spence vs manny shouldn’t be far fetched considering he’s the WBA champ at 41.

It's a lose-lose situation if they make the GGG fight. If Pac wins, it'll only be through controversial judging, if GGG wins he beat up a small welter in his twilight years unlike Brook who is a natural middleweight. I like both fighters but Manny is too old. His speed has diminished significantly and his power is devastating for guys his size but it doesn't carry over as well to welter, let alone 160. GGG is too big and strong. Not to mention his style is a way more refined version of Marquez's and not as one dimensional because GGG can fight forward and backward while countering with pressure. Pacquiao should focus on pressuring Crawford or Spence to fight him while there's still time.
