I am fortunate that I had the privilege of knowing Manohari Dada, as he was known in the music world. He used to visit our bank branch at Santa Cruz, Mumbai, and I always touched his feet whenever he used to come. Had the privilege of visiting his residence nearby and knowing his family. He was a down to earth person, very affectionate and humble. Will always cherish the golden moments we spent together.

Rajeshji. How fortunate you are. I am in awe of Manohariji's versatile genius!! I had the good fortune of listening to legends in concerts. Some names are Rafi, Lata, Asha, Manna da, Talat Mehmood, Hemant kumar, Jagjit Singh and Talat Aziz. My funniest memories are of being in front of Kishore kumar in Ahmedabad. As he started singing "Mere sapnoki rani kab aayegi tu" the audience was mesmerized. How can we show our gratitude to these legends? Their stature is beyond words. Thanks for sharing and best wishes. Pradip Trivedi.

Back in 1960s Manohari Singh also played with the Rajgarh Band and we had the chance to hear him in some of the functions at Indore and Mhow. We waited for his turn to come in front of Band to play his piece. People would whisper to each other 'Manohari Singh'. 'Manohari Singh'. Such was his fame even then. Much later he was picked up by our music director legends and how the master thrilled the lovers of bollywood numbers throughout the world.

Very nice video - however, strangely you have not mentioned about that famous super hit song " Roop Tera Mastana " from film Aradhana wherein Shri Manohari La Ji played his saxaphone and Shri Karsi Lords played his accordion - a wonderful and deadly combination - with fantastic music composed by Shri SD Burman Da ? Besides, song "Achha Ji main haari piya " was from film Kaal Paani , with Shri Manohari Singh on saxaphone and accordion by Shri Karsi Lords (?) and music composed by Burman Da - I never heard of Shri Laxmi Kant Ji at that time when film Kala Paani was relesed sometime in1959-60 (?) . Regards.

It's very sad that in today's music there is no much for Sax, or Trumpet, or Flute. All scrap on a Chinese keyboard. Manohari knew notation very well, but sad R.I.P. you and R.D. were two sides of the same coin. We still listen to your music... which will NEVER die...
