Dear Aha Mata Kuja, Indeed it sounds amazingly good. I am fascinated and need one like this for vocal practice raag and meditation, but the price they are asking is too much for me. I emailed the maker in calcutta asking his price in rupees. I need one, but if it is so costly I could probably try make one myself. How and where didi you purchase it ? Namaste, Luis

have you tried ebay? thats where i got mine :) there are sellers who sell these with blemishes, but you can't even tell and it still sounds like a unblemished one haha how much are you looking to spend?

Aha Mata Kuja Really ? I can only find different ones, not like yours which is portable and sounds great. According to the website in the video it is made by a Calcutta man, a specialist. When did you get yours ? Did you pay anything around the price they are asking in the website in the video ? Thank you

this is the one i got ... www.ebay.com/itm/Monoj-Kumar-Sardar-Bros-56-Male-Flat-Back-Pro-Tanpura-BLEMISHED-/221346989480?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item33894f05a8

Aha Mata Kuja Thanks, I saw it. The price is better than on website, but still, in my humble and respectful opinion and perhaps ignorance it is ridiculously expensive for such a simple instrument. There are flat tamburas on ebay at affordable prices but they don't have this kind of shape of the manoj sardar style which makes it very portable. What to do ? They make it so expensive.
