The game really opens up with multiple locations built on the map, took on the final battle with 5 stacked retinues and over 100 spearman and 2 archer militia. Was awesome. The replay-ability will come in the future with the ai town building and more in depth skirmishes etc. Hopefully he will add a scenario with multiple lords.

The name of the village is funny. The town next to my own in Bavaria is called Eichenau. It's a german name obviously. Eichenau trabslates to a place where oakes grow near a river or a lake.

Good to see you guys give manorlord some attention. In my experience it’s a very complex, hard to learn but rewarding game. Obviously most of the devs attention went into crafting the actual game so I’m sure quality of life improvements like tutorials and new maps will come later. Still this game has so much potential. First game I’ve been super excited for in a while.

the scale is pretty much relevant to what was medieval truly about ;-) Americans are not dived into the history so much (lot of people are affected by fantasy movie scales or hollywod brown medieval scale filter) , but on a basic mannor fields, it was pretty rare to build an army larger by 100 mens by one local lord ;-) The game is pretty balanced in the scale of city building and military numbers even by using a militia ;-)nut only by fully trained mercenaries (which was an essential source of any army in the history of medieval era - especial later ones) ---- this is pretty much a simulation with prety lot of details

You must build houses at the start and get some different food(berries/hunt) then you get more people if approval over 50%. Once you get more buildings they look a bit too similar, I hope future versions add building txt labels or highlight similar buildings if you hover over the build icon. I found it hard to locate houses at the start, and there should be a better building unlock tree as you progress. This game looks promising with improvement.

I really like base building focused RTS games since you can make a clean and orderly town. I enjoy tradition RTS's like StarCraft, but you have to use your building to block ramps or hide buildings from your opponent, and you have a messy looking base.

The game is good mechanic wise, they just need to balance and then continue building upon it.. Just a couple of things that don't work properly in the game or are unbalanced and then the combat could use some tweaks while also adding more later game stuff.

It will be awesome, it's main selling point is the graphics making it very immersive, but its far from finished and the end game is totally missing, frankly its currently over hyped based mostly on the battles, which are only like 1% of the gameplay, if you want a full game with deeper and more logical logistics then Farthest Frontier is a much better choice at the moment.

@@furubayashisea5396 Indeed, I agree, the problem is that being one man it will take even longer to finish the game, it's far from finished, and as a pure medevil city builder, Farthest Frontier is more complex and complete, therefor currently a better game in this genre. Manor Lords has the immersion, Farthest Frontier has the gameplay, take your pick, or have both like I do, personally I'll be going back to Fathest Frontier until this game is more complete, which could take a while.

Probably gonna get shit on for having this opinion. Game is great for the first the 15 or so hrs. It just lacks any variation in playstyle, longevity and challenge. So after about 15hrs for me it just gets really boring and repetitive. I really hope slavic uses the money from sales to hire more developers and push out updates quickly because otherwise I can't see myself playing it again.
