Hi, how come the commands turn so much ? If the buckets turn only 55°
@guidopergola6772Ай бұрын
I don't understand the question exactly. Do you mean that the levers turn more than the indicator? You should ask the manufacturer Kamewa. I think it's to make it easier to use
@JoshuaLescarretSailingАй бұрын
@@guidopergola6772 well I think the buckets turn 55° so I'm surprised the levers turn almost 180, but yes maybe to make them easier to use
@guidopergola6772Ай бұрын
now i understand. no, the levers move left and right about 50°, not more, but then you can move them forward and backward. They rotate and flip, so yours is just an impression that they turn more

@@guidopergola6772 oh ok yes it's just an impression, thanks for explaining

Prefer to a single lever,or a wheel,hahah
@guidopergola6772 Жыл бұрын
There are automatic systems with single lever, especially on modern passenger ships, which handle various rudders and propellers, but this is not our case. With water jets , separate levers are used and the bow can also be moved with appropriate combinations of levers/jet directions. Catamarans, for example, do not normally have bow thrusters. With the steering wheel you move the two rudders and anyway you still have to use them together with the propellers, so it's not so different

@@guidopergola6772 I have never manoeuvred jet before, but have experience with azimuth thrusters and normal propellers/rudders. I always preferred manual levers on the bridgewings. Joystick is more easy but I just like to have more control. By the way, thank you for the video captain, always interesting to see how crazy fast you manouver on ferries. ;-)
