Hmmm...basic three wall set with a background flat, existing exterior location (looks like the Disney Golden Oak ranch), relatively few setups--nothing in there screams budget-blowing, compared to some of their more elaborate sketches.

The early 1990's were a lawless time... Fox television came out with this and "The Edge" and Beavis would appear shortly thereafter.... they're gone but still live on in the archives

I swear, every damn clip I've seen Manson speak in over 40 years, he ALWAYS says something about "your children"! Which is why every time I hear that line in this sketch, I guffaw uncontrollably like a donkey.

I love at the end of the sketch how important it was that they listened to Charlie Manson and that's how the problem was solved. Listening to Manson is how you solve problems. :) I have to find my DVD of this show.

That's the meta joke. Manson is right about a lot of things, if you listen. No, not a fan by any means; just credit when credit is due. The poor man was eaten alive by forces unseen. This has to be what my mom meant. I was too young to talk but when I was a baby I saw a skit show where Manson was lassie she said and I laughed hysterically. She said I understood nothing but laughed. This has to be it. I almost pissed my pants.
