Yeah Debra Tate is still fighting for her sister Sharon Tate and the rest of her friends. Lets not forget Sharon's baby Paul Tate who died as well. Sharon Tate was 8 months pregant. She begged for her life and the life of her baby. She wanted her son to live. Sharon Tate was beautiful and all heads would turn and she was at the peck of her acting career.

Omg i see this comment everywhere. The killers never actually say they murdered because they had a bad childhood. The only reason they talk about their childhoods is because they're asked by whoever is interviewing them and its usually connected to Manson, like they ask "what led you to leave home" or "how did you end up meeting Charles Manson".. Where does anyone say "I killed those ppl because i had a bad childhood".. That excuse is never used. Or maybe i missed it

I see a recurring theme here. None of them took personal responsibility. My daddy left, my parents divorced, I was introduced to drugs and on, and on. None of them should ever see the outside of a prison.

Except you’re twisting their words into something they weren’t meant to be. They never blamed the divorces for why they murdered, they simply said that the divorces are what led them to fall into Manson’s dirty arms. And the drugs do play a big part, if you dug into Manson’s case enough...you’d know that he would force them to take shrooms and acid, and while they were high he would recreate the crucifixion of Jesus to persuade them that he was the incarnation of Jesus. It’s just all brainwashing that Manson did...and it left chaos. You might sit up on your privileged high horse of “excuses excuses” or “I wouldn’t have done that”...but truth be told...dangerous cults like the Manson Family are so easy to get wrapped up in, because it doesn’t take much to effectively brainwash someone. I just want a world where people like Manson don’t exist...Sharon And LaBianca would be alive and these girls would’ve lived out a normal childhood...cause yeah, these girls were literal children when this happened between the ages of 13-18...and he fucked up their lives forever.

@@jinxxx9746 When someone you love and live with starts talking about murdering people, you try and get psychiatric, medical help for him if necessary. Watson and the young women went along with it. Most people would not agree with Manson and listen to his outlandish bs after he wants you to go out and kill for him. They all knew what they were doing. They were not psychotic. Manson sent them out to kill the people in that first home (where Sharon Tate was), because the record producer who turned Charlie down had lived there. The record producer met with Charlie through the Beach Boys and was interested in possibly making an album and film on "the family" with Manson. He never followed through with it. Manson turned him off with his angry at times bizarre behavior. I guess obviously he also did not think Charlie's music was worth taking a risk on spending money producing an album. These women were later teens and early to mid 20s. when they met Manson. Manson is responsible, but they willingly joined his family and got high most everyday enjoying the carefree life. They are equally responsible. Same as Watson. Watson is the key Manson needed. Watson was a jock in high school, a fraternity brother in college. No Watson, no murders in those homes like that. I dont know how you can try to excuse a person who followed Manson and lived in the family. They liked having little to no responsibilities, getting high, stealing, and having sex. Then 4 of them murdered for Msnson. They knew about the record producer talking about a possible album and film, as well. They were probably mad at him just like Charlie was. This came out in interviews the young women and Watson had.

I saw other comments about them, saying they weren't loved or they were poor in the ranch. It was disgusting for them to kinda protect the girls. They had responsibilities and when they were at Cielo Drive, they should have thought is this the right thing and no one was hypnotized if they were why was the fourth girl in the car not killing anyone? If so they should never be released, they should suffer in prison and then when they are dead straight to hell for an eternity.

What a fucked up generation of people. They are the generation that did it all, drugs, sex, booze, whores and had it all, and now they have the audacity of turning self righteous towards the generation Y-ers and generation Z-ers :)) The list above proves who was the most fucked up generation of the entire 20th Century not only in the US, but all over the world. Trump, Putin, Biden, Xi Jinping, the most powerful leaders in the world are all baby boomers and they're still running this world today. There's your proof as to why the world is what it is today. Poor Sharon, Jay, Abigail, Voytek, Rosemary, and Leno as well as whoever else had to die at the hands of these fucking psychos. I was glad to hear Susan Atkins died. That right there is just completely heartless. Yet she wanted people to feel sorry for her. Bitch please!

This is not a unique phenomenon. It's basic peer pressure, but extremely amplified because these women had been all living together in a sub culture setting for an extended period of time. A hierarchy had been established, and Manson was the guy at the top. He didn't control their minds, but like any peer pressure scenario, they conformed to the pecking order, and in order to remain accepted, they maintained their conformity within the group. They were extremely vulnerable and young, and add psychedelic drugs to the equation and you have the element of abstract thinking and deviation from normal thinking . It was a cult mentality..Not unique. None of them will ever see the freedom of the streets again. But no doubt they came to their senses not too long after their incarceration. Unfortunately for them, it doesn't matter in terms of how this plays out. Rehabilitation and remorse are only a part of the picture...retribution, deterrence, and punishment are also grim factors that have kept them behind bars for decades. Leslie Van Houghten would never harm anyone again if released. However, it's difficult to overlook the fact that she stuck a knife in another human being repeatedly for no apparent reason other than groupthink. Something that most of us could never be capable of.

@Joshua Tamang read what I have already written. Manson girls were runaways, teen girls who were not loved by their families, who escaped abusive homes. Manson was an adult who told.them that in him they had a family. But he raped them, drugged them, sold them to his friends, used them, starved them. These girls were already damaged before Manson, and he ended them. He finished the job, he broke them. You clearly have to read about psychology because you have no idea how cults brainwash people.

Just to get along with the group and that sawed off little runt Manson? They brutally killed those poor people and the consequence was they ruined their own lives too. Imagine being locked up since you were 19 or 20 and now you are in your sixties - that is a hell of a long time. But you know what? Tex told those ignorant bitches to kill these people, Charlie didn't. Even when Sharon's mother was asked why she never went to any of Charlie's parole hearings, she said because "he didn't kill my daughter. He wasn't there. He had nothing to do with it". I see a bunch of people saying how much of a cop out it is that they blame their parents for getting divorced , then at the same time blame Manson for what they did , that's hypocritical thinking......both are excuses , they made a conscious decision to do what they did those 2 nights , in the end , they have no one to blame but themselves , many members simply walked away from the family when it started taking a darker turn......

Boo boo, they had Mommy and Daddy issues? I had a man marry my mother when I was two he raised me from 2 to 17 where he adopted me and called me his own child, he met another woman and left my mother and the woman quickly gave him an ultimatum me or Sheila’s daughter. He chose his new wife I repeatedly tryed to get alhild Of him after my mother went Crazy and I was left abandoned and ALONE, he would answer the phone with a Stop calling me I’m not your father. I didn’t follow a cult, I didn’t kill women and innocent children, I put my good my big girl panties on and grew up. Shit happens and those are the lamest excuses to justifying weakness, I found it challenging but empowering.. Absolutely pathetic these rated PG13 abandonments were there excuses for what they did, WHEAK..

attention, some people will do anything to get it. And they started doing drugs which doesn't allow you to think straight. These girls had chances to make right choices, unfortunately for them they made the wrong ones because they were desperate to be with someone who made them feel special and they allowed Charles to manipulate them into doing whatever he wanted them to do. Which was REALLY STUPID on their part.

Well all the girls started out pretty normal and innocent, but nobodies born evil. Even those sweet little kids you see playing around outside could grow up to be evil monsters if they aren't shown any love and affection. Everybody has the potential to become evil or do horrible things it's just a matter of whether or not the kids grow up feeling loved and valued is what really makes the difference between someone remaining a good person or becoming a maniac.
