It is true. I don't listen to Lantern much but l will go on record saying Six is simply one of the greatest records ever made. And l have heard quite a few fucking records over 50 years, thank you! Spooky Action was a bloody great treat after a long absence, it is brilliant. I have to say that l am trying to get Cult Leader to grow on me aside from the 2 or 3 breakout tracks on it. If you have seen the Omega Man video and it didn't touch you, l don't know what to say. If any songwriter that can make the loss of my wife compare to a nuclear disaster, it is the unparalleled Paul Draper. (And it thrills me to no end that he has a huge supporter in the great Steven Wilson.)

Love the nod to Bowie - Heroes video around 2:20 Mansun were amazing, and love how they stuck their fingers up to the corporate label bollocks and media sham, unfortunately it was their undoing but they left us with some outstanding music.

I actually enjoyed watching this and loved hearing it again .. So many people moaning about the video, go do something, you have too much time on your hands looking for things to criticise, quite frankly its sad.
And you see, I kind of shivered to conformity Did you see the way I cowered to authority You see, my life, it's a series of compromises anyway It's a sham, and I'm conditioned to accept it all, you see (More) than I had before (More) than I've presently got (More) than I'll ever use up (More) than I really need (More) than I had before (More) than I've presently got (More) than I'll ever use up (More) than I really need (More) than I had before (More) than I could possibly spend (More) than I'll ever use up (More) than I really need (More) than I had before (More) than I could possibly spend (More) than I'll ever use up (More) than I really need It's more than I can spare My religion is caged Safe from progress, purgatory I know How does this affect me Emotionally affect me Will they let me go Will they let me go Will they let me go Equilibrium imbalanced again I feel no pain I feel no... I feel no pain The Jabberwocky haunts me, in my memory it's caged I feel no pain (I feel no pain) I feel no... (I feel no...) I feel no pain (I feel no...) But if you punched me in the stomach then I'd feel it again Life is a compromise anyway Life is a compromise anyway Life, it's a compromise anyway Life, it's a compromise anyway And it's a sham, and I'll accept it all And you see, I kind of shivered to conformity Did you see the way I cowered to authority You see, and my life, it's a series of compromises anyway It's a sham, and I'm conditioned to accept it all, you see (More) than I had before (More) than I've presently got (More) than I'll ever use up (More) than I really need (More) than I could possibly spend (More) than I'll ever use up (More) than I really need It's more than I can spare My religion is caged

Andy Stanbridge Don't agree, and I think most fans don't agree. What happened is they turned away from Britpopish styles and towards prog/alt rock. It's all been written up by the musos. :) Perhaps you were after Britpop style stuff and not what they turned into.
@andyinthewatford70259 жыл бұрын
+Matthew McVeagh yes true. But they were great at Britpop and shit at Alt/Prog. Hence they died.

+Andy Stanbridge No, no, no, THIS album is their masterpiece, one of the best albums of the last 20 years, grossly overlooked. I guess lots of people just never got it, absolutely fantastic record.

+Andy Stanbridge Six was the best thing Mansun ever did, one of the best albums of the 90's. A truly underrated, overlooked classic that pushed the boundaries of the commercially bloated scene at the time
