This is a must watch video on the problem from a First Texas (Fisher metal detectors) engineer, Carl Moreland demonstrating why I care so much about this problem. Https://kzbin.info/www/bejne/oF6QlniBbLeGmpY And a follow up video he's also done explaining the problem kzbin.info/www/bejne/fqq0qYeImruVhrcsi=nDXFuaKt17Lf0iQB

It seems a new lower rod needed soon...Not cf this time 😢

yes, a good old Equinox plastic shaft with the Manticore coil fixing is required to resolve this one.

I had a problem like this once where the retaining gromit that holds the coil lead into the coil cuts into the table or is pinching it. May be the same fault by the look of it. Try a different coil on it to get your answer my friend then send the coil back

It happens with the M8, M11, and M15 coils, unfortunately it's not a faulty coil, it's a shaft made out of a material that the detector sees as a target.

@@phruntbut in real life is not important because that connection is rigid.. so you not notice that effect when you hunting is t it?

@@omnitron It is, watch the engineers video here, gold hunters especially constantly pivot their coil to move in and around rocks and bushes so for them the problem is worst, also they run in the highest frequencies making it worse again, the engineer from Fisher did a good video explaining it kzbin.info/www/bejne/oF6QlniBbLeGmpY
