Gosh, not gonna lie- I had an idea like this in my mind. I had a mantis in my yard, in a planter I was watering. Every day when I came out, he would watch me, then hide when I caught him staring at me. He's disappeared now and my desire to write a story about where he might have gone; well it's popped up here of all places. Guess you could say, I got what I wanted, in a way. 😂

Manti are some of my favorite insects. Colorful, varying sizes. Varying bodies. (Some are big enough to eat frogs and birds!) He seems to be a deciduous forest large bodied variety. My personal favorite ones are the orchid manti. The look just like an orchid flower. So with that, he must have been in a single colony in his area without knowledge of different colonies in farther off areas. Probably with varying sizes and body types like our real manti.

Its illigal to harm manti where i live and so we have a lot that come to my house. Usually its the normal green ones but one time I found a Phyllocrania paradoxa (dont know causal name) mantis and it let me hold it. I couldnt tell if it was male or female but it was small so im assuming male

I love this concept. Definitely different from others. Also fantastic job! Nice that he actually introduced himself compared to my merman husbando (still love him though). Just I find it funny this was released a week after I found a large mantis hanging out on my family's tombstone. Also I love the accent. I do love your other accents and I would say don't be afraid to try new ones or continuing using accents you feel comfortable/enjoy doing.
