I went to Nepal three years in a row. Every time this was the music that streamed out of restaurants, shops, windows...everywhere..This, for me became the "sound" of Kathmandu...Bought three copies of this cd, knowing that THIS was important. Gave one to a woman, that is now my wife, wore out one, still listening to this. I know I will never return to Kathmandu, or Nepal, and will always miss it and the wonderful warm gentle people there, but perhaps this was / is the most important music in my life.

I lived 6 month in Nepal in 2007 in remote villages off the trekking path in the Manaslu Valley, travelled quite a lot all around the country too. Went back in April 2015 a week before the earthquake for a 14 days trek in Langtang Valley to admire Langtang Liru summit. I have this song with me for over a decade now and will be back this year or the next. Bless all Nepalese and Tibetans around the world. This healing mantra music is really powerful to me. I have a very personal and deep connection with this record. It was the year 2002 and I literally fell in love both with the music and the lady of my life at the Bouddha Nath Stupa where this music was playing somewhere in the distance in the background. I followed the sound and bought the record. I felt like getting 100 of the CDs right there then. To this date, I get chills and shiver every time I listen to this record 🙏 🇳🇵

So beautiful mantra that has a great meaning and makes everyone's life soothing while listening. When this music plays a scene comes into my mind where the burnt pine smoke flows all over my native place in the morning whispering to the prayer flags being hung during the Buddhist festival 'Lossong/Namsong' in the month of December. It also plays in every Buddhist monastery in the morning and evening being situated on the hill top where we can touch the clouds and feel the pleasure of heavenly like. It is that time when we feels like we are mentally peace and relaxed. Thank you God and the creator of this beautiful mantra...

BTW Himalaya is the closest to real magic there is.. highly recommend ABC treek, no roads there to destroy the peace and last day from MBC you won't be able to speak, 360 panoramic view of tops from 6-8 000 meter .... it will silence you ❤️🙏❤️🙏
