Buddha weekly Sir,I have a really big question.SirI don't know much English so I will tell you my question as best as I can sir,I live in another house by paying rent. I love Buddha and Bodhisattvas veryI much. The pit latrine/porous lining in the bathroom of this house is located under the room where I live. I always have offerings to Bodhisattvas, Yatika,mantras. Because there is a big dirty thing under my room, will it hinder my puja activities? I can't even look for new houses at this time, the owners of the house won't give me new rooms. won't I be able to get the bodhisattvas' blessings? Please tell me something....Will my puja and spiritual practices work be stopped because of this dirty thing?please tell me sir.🙁😭😢💔💔💔

Your English is good. There is no problem with the toilet from the point of view of Buddhism because your intention is good. Many people live in bachelor apartments, where you can't help but "face the toilet" and most apartment buildings are "on top of a toilet." What matters is you are making Holy offerings with sincere intention. You said "I love Buddha and Bodhisattvas very much!" That is what truly matters. Your intention is to honour them. Your practice is already precious. For instance, a rich person with fifteen golden toilets in their house can build a special shrine room, following all the rules, but because his intention wasn't pure, his love wasn't sincere, his shrine room is nothing more than a warehouse room. On the opposite extreme is the ascetic hermit in his cave with no statue or shrine, but who practices with a sincere heart. What matters is the heart. There's a wonderful story, retold here from Lama Zopa Rinpoche where he shows that it's your own intention that matters: "There is a story about a Buddha statue that was outside. One person saw the Buddha statue; it was raining and the statue was getting wet. The person felt how bad it was that the statue was being rained on, took off his shoes, and put them on the head of the Buddha statue to protect it from the rain. After the rain had stopped someone else came by, saw the shoes on the statue of the Buddha and thought, “How terrible, someone has put shoes on top of the Buddha statue”; so he took the shoes off the statue. Because both acts were done with a positive motivation both actions created good karma. The man putting the shoes on the head of the Buddha did it out of respect, so the statue wouldn’t get wet. Normally, putting shoes on a Buddha statue is a disrespectful action and would create negative karma." -- Lama Zopa Rinpoche"www.lamayeshe.com/article/benefits-having-many-holy-objects

Hi buddha weekly, I love your videos ❤❤❤❤❤❤ I want know if there is any videos on amoghasddhi buddha, what is his realm ? Is his pureland accessible to sentient beings like amitabha' s sukhavati?
@BuddhaWeekly7 ай бұрын
Traditionally, Amitabha's Pureland is the most accessible because of Amitabha's great vow -- and because his focus is on Dharma (teachings). Most people asipire to his pureland for this reason. Also, the only required "vow" is the Bodhisattva Vow." Amoghasiddhi is the karma Buddha. If you have devotion to and the practice of Amoghasiddhi you should certainly aspire to his Pureland. The Pureland of a Buddha is none other than the mind of the Buddha. Amoghasiddhi is the Karma Buddha, so conduct is important -- keeping vows, making offerings, your daily practice, generosity, and so on. After all he is the Karma Buddha. His wisdom is All-Accomplishing Wisdom. He is activity. Each Buddha focuses on one of the poisons. In the case of Amoghasiddhi this would be Jealousy. Amitabha's practice tends to be most accessible, with compassion as the main focus and the wisdom of Discernment. His practice is very simple by comparison. If you feel close affinity, or you practice Amoghasiddhi, then conduct and karma will be your main focus in life and things such as retreat, fulfilling all Samayas. You probably, if you are pursuing this practice, already have taken the Tantric Vows. I always find it helpful to remember them for context on the Dhyani Buddhas (most of us chant it daily with our practice). I'll excerpt a tiny bit here because it is a nice synopsis of the five Buddha families (the brackets are mine) -- by the way, even if we focus on ONE of the five families, you still vow to uphold all five vows if you have this daily vow (and Amoghasiddhi, as you can see is the Buddha of Vows and Samaya and action): "I shall uphold from today onward The vows arisen from the Buddha Yoga; The unsurpassed Three Jewels of The Buddha, Dharma and Sangha." (Vairochana Buddha Family) I shall uphold purely The vajra, bell and mudra of The great, supreme Vajra family, And I shall uphold purely the Master commitment. (Akshobhya Buddha) "I will always make the four types of gifts Six times each day; The pleasing commitments of The great supreme Jewel family. (Ratnasambhava) For the pure, great Lotus family, Arisen from great enlightenment, I shall uphold each of the holy Dharmas, Of the outer, the secret and the three vehicles. (Amitabha, Avalokiteshvara) For the great, supreme Action family, I shall uphold purely each of Vows I am endowed with, And make as many offering as I am able. (Amoghasiddhi and Tara) Amoghasiddhi is activity and karma oriented and conduct and vows are very important to aspire to his pureland. Definitely I would seek out a qualified teacher if you aspire to Amoghasiddhi's Pureland. Hope that helps. In kindness, BW

Hi @9002723052 I didn't mention the name of Amoghasiddhi's Pureland, sorry (you asked), I meant to in my earlier reply. His Pureland is Karmaprasiddhi (sometimes called Prakuta). Notice "karma" and "siddhi" in the name (more or less means: "accomplishment through right activity" or something similar. It is in the North. We have a feature story on Buddha Weekly main website called "A Travel Guide to the Purelands" where we summarize all the main Purelands, including Tara and Amoghasiddhi). (Tara has her own Pureland) You'll find it here, if you're interested: buddhaweekly.com/?p=23328 We also have separate features on the Five Buddhas. Eventually, these may become shorter videos, but for now they are a helpful resource. In kindness, BW

Are these beings that we sing mantra to egregores or powerful tulpa created to help practitioners? Please advise.
@BuddhaWeekly7 ай бұрын
Not really, Tara and other mantras are syllables of Enlightened Buddhas, who can manifest in countless forms to help sentient beings (Sambhogakaya and Nirmanakaya forms). There are basically the "three bodies" Dharmakaya, Sambogakaya and Nirmanakaya. It is from the Nirmanakaya concept the western esoterists and Theosophists developed their own version of the Tulpa concept (Tulpa was originally Vajrayana Buddhist, but, it became its own thing over time in western traditions as it evolved separately into something new and unrelated to Enlightened Deities). "The concept of tulpas has origins in the Buddhist nirmāṇakāya, translated in Tibetan as sprul-pa (སྤྲུལ་པ་): the earthly bodies that a buddha manifests in order to teach those who have not attained nirvana. The western understanding of tulpas was developed by twentieth-century European mystical explorers, who interpreted the idea independently of buddhahood." -- source Mikles, Natasha L.; Laycock, Joseph P. (2015). "Tracking the Tulpa: Exploring the "Tibetan" Origins of a Contemporary Paranormal Idea". Nova Religio. 19 (1): 87-. doi:10.1525/nr.2015.19.1.87. From a Buddhist of view, Enlightened Buddhas are not Tulpas as understood in western mysticism (unless the mystic is understanding them as Buddhas or fully Enlightened.) Hope that helps. In kindness, BW
