Ah, the B10M. Lovely thing to drive. Especially when the limiter was inop and no one told the grease monkeys in the yard :D Good way to catch up on time. The Premiere coach body is my favourite. The B10M with the Alexander PS body goes like stink with the higher HP to weight ratio! Mind you the last one I drove had a 4 second delay between pressing the accelerator and the engine actually realising it. Made getting out onto busy round-a-bouts interesting!

This the Premiere and Excalibur are my favourite Plaxton coaches much better than their replacements the Paragon and Panther

Plaxton bodies from this era have really aged well like the Classic Wrights and still look fairly modern@@Cazkumali

I've always loved the Volvo B10M with the manual gearbox, especially 4th gear. As much as I enjoy riding modern coaches, part of me prefers older coaches (like the air-conditioning system for a start) - bit more juice if that makes sense! The newest B10M I've ever rode on was a Yardley Wood Travel Plaxton Paragon on a National Express service in October 9 years ago, 02-plate with a manual gearbox. This was on mine and Mum's connecting service from Leicester to Peterborough (the original coach broke down). Lovely coach that was - the interior reminded me of an Indian wedding because of the dark red seats! The oldest B10M I've rode on was at the 2016 Spring Gathering at Brooklands Bus Museum down in Weybridge - it was an "A"-reg one with VanHool Alizee body. It's amazing how the air-conditioning worked on this coach which was 32 years old. Turning to the coach in this video, I rather admire the Plaxton Premiere body! Great video!

Here in Brazil we had Volvo B10M until the end of 2003 and only in Euro 2 emission standards, since Brazil only started to follow Euro 3 standards in 2006. In Europe, did Volvo B10M manufacture under Euro 3 standards? If so, do you have a video link to see about the B10M Euro 3?

Well how come a hgv 26 tone ridged has 4 over 4 and this only has 6 I was just wondering cose I'm thinking of buying one and making it into a motor home as I have my class c license
@alexhickey56335 жыл бұрын
@@obviousmartin2501 part of it has to do with simplicity and less need for lower gears like what youd find in a truck
