Thank you for this. My sliding door doesn't always work with the fob and it's going to take awhile before the dealership can even look at it for warranty repair. Now I can make sure it locks while awaiting repair!

Thank you for this video!I am having the same problem! I find that if I open slider and hold down the sensor?button while pushing lock on fob...the front doors will lock...then I do what you showed to sliding door with screwdriver...close it it’s locked! I checked fuse...fob battery...I can’t find any info on the sliding door “contact button?” I bought it used and they had duct tape over it to hold it down....didn’t notice it till we got it home of course! Please let me know if you find a fix!🥰

Very useful if the battery needs to come out for charging or if it's planned to disconnect the battery for a long period in storage. Great trick to lock the sliding door. I'd never have thought to look at the back in a million years. Hope you got your locking sorted out.

Do you need to do this every time? I just installed an alarm and it will only lock two doors. I can’t believe what a problem. This is so my main question is every time you lock it you have to push those buttons? Thank you for making this video!!

I hate that when you unlock front it unlocks both diver and passenger door locks. easy way some can stael something or car jack you at a gas station. or drive out side atm at bank. and you can not lock passanger door if driver door is open.

I just purchased a used Pro Master van and I really love it. However, what I never really cared for dodge vehicles. Same situation, I could not lock the van until I watched your video. I spent almost two hours trying to figure it out. I must say this really sucks that you have to go through all of this just to lock your van manually. Why can't the engineers at dodge or who ever design vehicles at dodge get their head out there ass and design a simple car with a simple way to lock it. I would have just made a key lock. Something simple. This is ridiculous to have to lock your van this way.

If the back door is loose the other doors won’t lock. First look if that door or the sliding door is closed in order for the lock to work

On our Van it was bad contactor on the sliding door frame side.

Usually the fab still works for unlock. Unless the fob is bad.

You can just open from the inside then disengage the lock. The back door and drivers doors still have a key holes.

The Van we had it was the contactor in the sliding door frame side.

@@naturallife9931 replaced the contractor assembly. It honestly was not very cheap. Near 100$ if I recall correctly.

@@heyjude16ify it is a 4 pin spring loaded contact that impacts with the opposing flat contacts. The ones we had issues with it was internal. So all I know is there was no continuity when tested. The test was from the connector on the back side to the spring loaded contact point. Possibly a repetitive use failure with the internal contacts.

Pull the rectangular plastic cover from the back door and push the rod one way to lock, the other to unlock. I like this method because I can do it from inside the van. Key cylinder also works.

Your mad over the pond I’m in uk my vans the same but it’s a Citroen relay same as the Peugeot boxer we have a button on the driver door that opens and locks the doors haha

We have the same button, but it does not work if your power lock actuator fails.

@@questioner1596 my key fob doesn’t work at all doesn’t even light up the indicators I can open each door with key or use button on inside to lock them changed batteries the lot just stopped working

@@pauls826, does your Citroën have a key cylinder on the passenger and sliding door? Also, is the "button" you refer to for the power locks? That won't work if the motor inside the door (actuator) breaks.
