the auto diff has a 3.73 ratio. That's why it feels faster.

You also lose less hp through a manual trans. Standard hp loss is 15% for manual and 20% for autos. Not to mention just how shit the zf6 autos are.

The reason you enjoy the 328i manual is because NA I6 is what made bmw a bmw. V8s are nice but at least regarding M3, they're also heavier by about 130kg(285lbs) so its basically 2 additional persons in the and mostly over the front axle. And 4cyls aint BMWs strong side.

Your E90 N52 sounds so good! I had a 2008 E92 328i xDrive with the 6 speed and full sport package, and it was amazing! It had stock exhaust tho. Now I have a 2011 E92 335i xDrive with the 6 speed auto :( but I at least have paddle shifters and the xHP stage 3 tranny tune! Its fun but I want to manual swap it eventually

I have my manual since new and remember the loaner automatic XI. And it was nice and day.. sound and balance of the 328i RWD 6 speed… could never sell it 16 years now

Could you please link the actual clutch setup used? Also is there a tune for the snappiness of the throttle? or is that just a byproduct of the lighter flywheel? I have a 06 330i and a roar pedal so my throttle response is 1 to 1 but for sure the dmf slows down the revs. also do you still have the cdv in?

Byproduct of lighter flywheel, I have no idea what clutched was used becuase I bought it from my friend , and just knew he used it in his 128i
