I'm 50 and I still can't do neutrals... sometimes when I sit down to do my makeup I think about a beautiful all neutral look I saw and think ill recreate it... and then end up with a shimmery lavender/purple dream lol... I think it's because I fell in love with makeup in the 80's when people embraced colorful everything.. I'm going to be that grandma wearing blue eyeshadow and I am okay with it...

It's the fact that she took and trademarked the "Koze" brand from another influencer that had it established for years forcing them to rebrand then deciding she doesn't want that brand anymore is what got me upset about that video

I'm so glad you called out the thing about the tik tok "trend" and do you know what, I'm going to throw my hat in to the ring here with my own hot take: most "trends" even before the age of social media are made up to sell stuff, whether it's specific like this one or whether it's more broad. See also: "clean girl" look - buy shed loads of skincare, more than you'll ever use. See the brow trends - buy this type of brow product, no actually buy this one. There's a reason there are very few 'influencers' I watch, and it's not a coincidence that you are one of them. It's the genuine love of the creativity and how the industry ticks. I know it's a fallacy to say that all influencers just want to sell us things - but I think the actual fun of playing with makeup is far rarer than it ought to be.

I feel like I really have reached a sweet spot where I have a couple of nice high end things, good mix of drugstore, good options for traveling, some nice indie things and Singles, I just rotate through them and when something new comesout I just ask myself "is there something in my collection I would rather use" and there always is.

I was actually able to check my makeup excel and the Fenty shade that was as a mini in her holiday collection few years ago was named hot chocolate fantasy in the set it came in, but this is definitely the same shade. I'm actually quite happy you can now get this permanently, because I'd imagine for those with a deeper skin tone this makes a very beautiful everyday gloss shade. Additionally for someone fair like me this is a great shade for those glam holiday parties with a red lip liner underneath. The pink and gold sparkle makes this such a pretty gloss.

Attention purple blush lovers: if you didn’t already know, Fenty brought back the blush in the shade Drama Cla$$! It’s on the website. I just ordered it yesterday. That’s what I’m excited about because I lost mine and it had been discontinued! But it’s back baby. That’s what I was super happy about this week! 💜 I’ve been slowly getting back into using my neutrals after doing mostly colorful looks since like October when I discovered you lol. But I’m kinda over it still, because unless a new launch has neutral shades I don’t already have a similar color for, I don’t want it. Like all done up by blend bunny for example was such a cool, unique take on a neutral palette and that’s one I could see myself buying, because I don’t already have colors like that. Otherwise I won’t buy any neutral shadows if it’s too close to colors I already have. The only exception would be if they’re in a formula I don’t enjoy and want to buy something better, like the new ND palette for example. I do wish it had slightly warmer colors because I’m not a fan of really orange neutrals or really cool toned neutrals, but these are cool tones that I don’t really have a decent formula for already, so maybe I would buy that one. Anyways, thank you for keeping us in the loop every week on new launches. Love these videos so much! It’s so fun seeing all the new makeup, even if most of the video I’m deciding what NOT to buy lmao. Have a good weekend ❤❤ There is one brand I’m super excited to see launch their new iridescent holographic eyeshadows soon, they’re called dualism beauty and they’re on Instagram. Now I haven’t tried anything yet but the brand is run by a creator named Casprin and he’s awesome! He already has these stunning holographic vegan cruelty free eye safe glitters. They launched earlier this summer I believe. Looking forward to trying them and a couple new single shadows!

I have found Danessa Myrick formula usually works for my oily skin, so I am definitely interested in her neutral palette. I want it because it could be something that I can travel with, I don't like adding to many things when I am on the go and I don't have the creativity or time to work with a lot of colors. If I am doing colors, I need to have some time to think and fix my mistakes. So if I can have one time that will be multi use and will make it easier for me to look put together I am all for it.

I bought a lot of eyeshadow over the last 3 years and this year I’m taking a break and using what I have. I’m hoping to get some pans in my palettes before they start going bad. I have oily hooded eyelids so only high quality powder shadows have longevity on my eyes and I can really tell if an eyeshadow is no longer in prime condition because it starts to crease.

I had the major dimensions 2 Patrick ta the rosy colored one, and it molded in less than six months I hadn’t used it for over a month and I saw someone else talking about it on Instagram and I checked my palette….
